Carbon dating, like all evidence, must be interpreted carefully, given its intrinsic limitations. No evidence is absolute, and anyone who treats it as such is academically compromised.

So, according to see if there was any light of God in Mohammed so they could follow him, the Jews needed to test Mohammed by asking him if he could receive knowledge from Allah of what they had in their book of Daniel. If he could, then he was a Prophet, and they would follow him. They asked him 3 questions from the Book of Daniel. Q1: Surah 17:85 what is "the Spirit (Ruach Ha-Kodesh)?" Answer: Spirit of God in Daniel 5:17. Mohammed's answer: "The spirit descends by the command of my Lord, but you have been given only a little knowledge." (Notice spirit is not capitalized. Meaning Mohammed didn't know the answer). Q2: Who were the youths? Answer: "Youths." -Daniel 1:4 These youths were "Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah," -Daniel 1:6. These survived a fiery furnace like Abraham and a lions den without any injury and were therefore considered to be very important to the Jews. Mohammed's answer: Surah 18:22 completely different answer. Meaning Mohamed didn't know. Q3: Who were the Dhul Qarnayn? Answer: Daniel 8:20 "The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia." Mohammed's answer: He was the man who found where the sun sets. Surah 18:86, Meaning Mohammed didn't know. Even though the person Mohammed spoke of was an actual person, none of the answers Mohammed gave are even in the Jewish Scriptures at all, showing he did not bring revelation from Allah to what the Jews had in their Scriptures.

Bravo! there are serious limitations to carbon dating, including those you mentioned here. For this reason, the method should always be used in tandem with other dating methods, to ensure the greatest accuracy. Muslims just don't want to do that with the Birmingham folios, or consider carbon derived dates that give a much earlier time range for Birmingham. This is nothing but intellectual dishonesty. Carbon dating is not accurate to date Quran. The carbon dating only measure the date of the skin or organic material. Infact the accuracy of the measurements +\- up to 200years. It also depand the source of the skin or organic material come from.

I think what destroys the existence of the Quran has everything to do with the supposed Muhammad not wanting a Quran before the supposed death. Whoever disobeyed this that is their Quran an no other. Also, the name Muhammad could of been used by allot of other people and the stories of confusion could be much widespread that they don’t have much facts and truths that one person these stories are all traced back to. That would be a major problem. How the Quran was put together having holes in it suggests it could have never been anything not to be completed. Who ever decided to make this a celebration may had pressure to bring forward something to please specific people but it seems like a disappointment that no one in the earlier period were sophisticated enough to say anything about it.

Jay Smith, what can you say about the carbon-dating of the manuscripts of the Bible that all of them are carbon-dated to the 9th Century, except for a torn one with a size of the credit card that is carbon-dated to the 3rd Century? If the manuscripts of the Bible are carbon-dated to the 9th Century, this would mean that the Bible was written long after the Qur'an.
