The Buraq is a Demon!?! - Exposing the Myths of Islam - Episode 3

The story of Muhammad ascending to heaven on the Buraq was seemingly copied from pagan religions. In the Persian pagan religion, a man is also transported and has a spiritual revelation from not only heaven but hell as well. The word, “buraq” is also derived from the Iranian word, “baraq” or the Persian word, “barak” referring to a fantastical mount. In Persian beliefs, the Barak is a demon that took the form of a fiery horse. These creatures/demons could be summoned by shaman which coincidentally (or not) is how the Persians described Muhammad. So the buraq of the night journey SIN tale, tied in with surah 17.1, comes from Middle Persian it would be very likely, thanks Mel for the research. In general terms, maybe one has a movement that was originally christian, but of a distinctively heretical sort, but then as the Arab empire expanded, there was conquest of Persia, with its great cultural history and pride in that (and indeed impressive stuff in the Arts), so if they wanted to disassociate from Christianity, and glorify a prophet figure from the Quran, who was rather weakly described in the Quran, these cultured Persians might have been used, to pull away from Christianity, as in they had ideas with some heft historically, but not christian, so just what they "needed" to forge a new religion, and cut free from the importance of the Messiah in Christianity.

I think in one culture the winged horse is a symbol for Dreams. Muslims would be better off if they declare the Nightjourney a Dream or a Vision, but their scholars insist this realy happened. Buraq is not even mentioned in the Quran and the Vers wich is traditionaly associated doesn't fit either. [17:1] " Glory to Him who journeyed His servant by night, from the Sacred Mosque, to the Farthest Mosque, whose precincts We have blessed, in order to show him of Our wonders. He is the Listener, the Beholder." It might not be obvious but this Vers talks about 3 Persons: 1: unknown Guy: "Glory to him... who precinct We have blessed, in order to show him of Our wonders." 2: an unnamed Prophet: "..his servant.." and "He is the Listener and Beholder" wich are descriptions for a Prophet. 3 Allah himself as Narrator and the one who "...blessed the precinct...in order to show him of Our wonders"

Regarding the veiling in later Islamic representations of Mohammed, they could have been inspired by the Bible's accounts of Moses being veiled like that after he had talked with God on Sinai. But that was because his face shone bright with some kind of supernatural glory, that unnerved the Israelites, and Mohammed according to the SIN never did encounter God face to face, rather got spoken to by an angel. The nearest time in the SIN (as tied to surah 17.1 only) was when he went on this buraq trip to Jerusalem, and then ascended to receive revelation from Allah about prayers via a go-between. So it could have been taken from Moses' epic life in the Bible account, but not knowing why Moses was veiled, as in people often don't delve deep into understanding things, they are happy with looking at the surface. One would not want to do this if one was "faithful to Mohammed and Allah" though, so they must have got carried away by their imaginations.

“Burak” means “lightning or flash of light” in Turkish. I think that people tried to represent certain things visually; we find similar actions in various cultures. However, if it were to be Tengrist shamanic, then it would probably depict Muhammed with a horse (his ritual angel), with which he leaves the world and goes into other spheres and dimensions (time travel, etc.). I believe that the official Islamic narrative has been completely lied and fabricated by the Brits/Mollahs/Saudis (Talmud Muslims). That's why the Muslim Ummah talks about two Islams, the "True Islam" and the invented, falsified Islam. In manipulated Islam you therefore get the impression that the Prophet Muhamed was Baphomet. Okay. Who falsified the “True Islam” and when? Most of the evidence points to an early (8th century) corruption of a Gnostic and or Unitarian Christian lectionary, prayer book or reader. Dr Jay Smith once mentioned many verses in the Quran were copied and rephrased from the Bible and some were copied from the wrong books outside Islam context. I believe the wrong books referring to those apocryphal texts. There are 54 books of them which were not canonised in the bible and deemed from unconfirmed sources. The Lost Books of Enoch tells the story about Enoch was given divine opportunity of seeing the heaven and also how hell looks like. Perhaps, the story of Al Isra is modified from Enoch story to better suit the Muslim scholars sensibilities of Al Isra. Is it not odd that such a mundane matter was revealed to him, something Jibril could easily reveal ? Contrary to the fabricated lie of these people that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) rode on a winged horse called Buraq, it was Archangel Gabriel (Jibreel) who fetched him in his Night Journey. Angel Gabriel does not need a winged horse because he has already 600 wings. A winged horse (with two wings) has no match to the speed of Archangel Gabriel when he flips his 600 wings. Hence, the term Buraq would mean the speed of the Journey of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) with Archangel Gabriel. The speed of their Night Journey is beyond human comprehension. How one could imagine that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) could have reached the 7th Heaven in one night wherein the distance from one heaven to another one will take hundreds of years for the other angels to travel? But not according to the Quran which affirms it, it rather (bizarrely) seems to deny the crucifixion in surah 4.157, although other verses in the Quran seem to contradict that (3.55 etc), but then maybe the Quran was a patchwork of pieces so it does have a high count of contradictions. Going by the gospels and full NT, He did ascend. The messianic prophecies prophesied the crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. It does not make prophecies about "ordiinary" prophets, unless they are the ones associated with the Messiah, so if Mohammed were a prophet, it's not surprising there are no prophecies about him in Injil or Torah. If such a great miracle had happened, it would have been narrated by people who would have been keen on relating it. However, it was not known to Luke, Mark and John in spite of the fact that they were keen on narrating minor unimportant details. This proves that it is a fabricated story. 4. Matthew said that the Day of Judgment would come at the time of the people who were Christ's contemporaries and said that Christ had said that the Son of Man (by which they mean the son of the Lord) would come in the glory of his Father with angels and every one would be either punished or rewarded according to his deeds, and that there would be some people who would not die until they had seen the Son of Man coming in his glory. They added that they would not go into all the cities of Israel until the Son of Man had come. No divine scripture would include such a mistake. Twenty centuries have passed, yet this prophecy has not come true. 5. It was mentioned in Luke (130) that Allaah The Almighty would give Christ the throne of Daawood (David) his father, and that he would be the king of Ya‘qoob’s family forever. This is a fatal mistake as Christ was neither a king of the Jews nor of the family of Ya‘qoob . Would the promise of Allaah The Almighty not be fulfilled? This and other evidence definitely shows that these gospels are not the Gospel that Allaah The Almighty revealed to Eesaa . They are no more than an effort from the students of Christ to write his biography. It is far from being infallible or inspired. Allaah Knows best.
