The problem is gonna be the procharger not being able to supply enough air to create 25lbs of boost . The biggest procharger usually goes on a 540ish cubic inch engine . That 900 inch engine is just gonna swallow that like nothing . It will make power that sounds crazy for only 10 or 15 lbs of boost . Remember boost number is just a restriction and that bbh doesn’t have much restriction .

I used to work for a company that made airplane deicer trucks and some of the models had this system that used a hydraulically power ATI Procharger that looked about that size, but maybe larger, that pushed air down a nozzle to blow the ice off of planes. I was told that the blast of air could blow your feet right out from under you. They were really impressive. They had a cart with an engine at the other side of the shop, where they would break the Prochargers in before installing them in the cab on the boom. When they ran them in, it sounded like a jet engine running.

I'm guessing with a good tune, N/A, you'll be seeing around 1145 hp. and on 25 lbs. of boost, around 1615 hp., maybe a little more? Let's see how close I get.😄👍👍

i’m old-school is still run copper gaskets I’ve never seen a gasket that stiff that roller copper that that came off of the metallurgist screwed up. I bet you there’s a whole bunch of those gaskets out there someone probably tested the hardness and said it’s close enough SMF. Good thing you caught it. That would’ve been a lot of extra work.

Steve needs a little oven like used for powder coating that he can just wheel the block and stand into to bring it up and soak it at operating temp without having to think about it.

Great Video Steve, You may want to add a bridge reinforcement to the outside of the engine plate on the left side mount. Even a small gap that is not supported can be a stress riser you have done such great work on everything else why take the chance! just my opinion and i tend to "overbuild" for ultimate strength!

ya as soon as I seen that gap I thought to myself 'yup, that's a problem waiting to bite on race day.'

Material application issues on the head gasket. Normal teething pains when you run on that knife edge. You go Steve!

Is the bore on that hemi being huge making the surface area of the fire ring large enough to cause the clamping force to be less than what's needed to crush the gasket? I wonder if you put the same gasket on a block with a significantly a smaller bore if it would have crushed fully and sealed up. Just a thought

You should watch marketplace for a powder coating oven that you could use to heat engines. Bonus being, you do powder coating for things that just need a quick shot of color.

Sooo. Curious would a simple stand alone hi-heat water heater , with a universal reciprocating plumbing connection system that would heat the block internally be some cheap insurance along w/ the blast heaters ? just asking , cause I would think you could really heat soak EVEYTHING as well as check for leaks .

I love the Chevy bellhousing pattern on a Hemi block! way less hassle to stuff a Turbo 400 behind that beast or whatever outdrive stuff in this case.

Would it be plausible or beneficial to put together a system to circulate heated water or coolant through the engine to simulate running the engine instead of using the heaters?
