Engineering background here although I own a Toyota Camry I’m gonna say neither I think you get a lot more out of a Kia Q5 or a Hyundai Sonata . Toyota and Honda are in competition with each other to see who could come up with the most bland and boring design it’s usually a tie😂

Although it is sad times that the Toyota 2GR-FE V6 and Honda 2.0T are no longer on offer for either(although the prices are still the same🤔), I'm glad to see that Honda and Toyota are both still invested in the car game. The Honda comes across as more mature, whereas the Toyota seems to be the more "fun" choice. Then again, neither seems to push away from their predecessors in a way that the 2018 models of both did, so I call this a wash...

I drive a 2017 Prius, and I am waiting for the 2025 or 2026 Prius at this point. I hope the new Prius is larger. If the 2025 Camry is 41k, it looks like the 2025 Prius will be as well 😢. What will Toyota do to distinguish the Prius from the Camry aside from the hatchback now? Making the 5th gen Prius so much smaller than 4th gen is a huge drawback. With the 2023/2024 Prius recall, anyone interested in the new Prius basically has to wait for 2025 model anyway. 😢

Particularly in the lower trims the Camry is much superior to the Accord IMO. Compare the Camry LE to the Accord LX for standard features, gas mileage, etc. The Camry is definitely better - no comparison really.

Camry, but it's close on the models you chose. If you compare high trim, FWD Camry vs. Accord Touring I believe the Camry price point difference will be significant.

I love the sophisticated look of the Accord interior, prefer the Camry exterior. Prefer the Toyotas hybrid probably overall. Accord has amazing amounts of space.

Throttle House summed up the Accord and Camry very well. The Accord looks like something an Accountant would drive, and the Camry looks like something a Uber Driver would drive.

@@thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947 have you spent any time with both cars? This came straight out of professional Journalist mouths, who get a chance to review vehicles in a much higher caliber than Camry and Accord. You would think that they would have a better perspective on cars than someone who’s sitting at home judging from photos.

Ive owned two accords a 2000, and 2013. Both fine cars with the same v6. My newest car i went with an accura tlx. Didnt like the new camary or accord as much. But were looking at Toyota for the v6 option and also the discontinued avalon. Love honda products, im sure the is lexus is a fine car.the accura is a 21 i bought used with 30k. Saved 10 k or so.

I've had a few Accords, never a Camry, but have had other Toyota's. My .02, the Accord's have all been surprisingly fun to drive and comfortable for the most part. It's nice Honda finally decided to offer a decent sound system, although I'm not a huge fan of Bose car audio, but it's got to be a step up from what the Accord offered in the past for the "premium audio" option. But cosmetically, they don't hold up as well - exterior body panels *will* rust anywhere there is a rock chip or scratch, the rubber bits will all break down under the sun and become gooey and cracked, sheet metal is very thin and the paint is delicate. Toyota's seem to hold up better in this regard, with better quality steel, exterior rubber and paint, and less proclivity for rust. But when you move to the inside, Honda interiors, excluding their poor quality leathers that shrink and harden with any exposure to water, do seem more cohesive and tend to look nicer, longer. I don't know what it is with Honda choosing for far too long to use the worst quality leather possible, but I wouldn't count on the leather staying nice for the long term unless you manage to NEVER get any moisture on it. Toyota has always used better leather (except the steering wheel, Honda does use full grain on that where Toyota uses what seems like bonded leather or mid-grain with a vinyl paint that looks like trash after a few years). So neither car checks all the boxes, really, but they both look like a pretty solid value for the price point, which honestly seems insane to say when you're talking about $40k which used to buy a really nice near-luxury car. But that's where we are.

Biggest differences here: 1. The Honda uses direct injection (with no port injection to keep the intake valves clean) in all Accord models, and turbos in some models, while the Camry uses neither in any model, so the Camry's motor will be more reliable and cheaper to maintain. 2. AWD availability for all models of the Camry, and none for the Accord. 3. While the fully loaded XSE Camry is slightly more expensive than the Touring Accord, the Camry is offered with a hybrid as standard in all trims while the Honda is not, and the Honda's beginning buy-in price to get the hybrid is thousands more than the Camry's. 4. Camry is always quieter. 5. Camry is always more powerful. 6. Camry always returns superior fuel mileage, especially real-world fuel mileage, not just window sticker EPA estimates.

From Road & Track "fewer than 1 in 10 Camry sold in the U.S. were equiped with the V6 engine" Number of Camry sold in 2023 is 290,649. Figuring about 10 percent (even though said to be "fewer than 1 in 10".) of Camry V6 leaves 29,000 (minus a possible 2,000) split among XLE V6, XSE V6, and the TuRD. It is predicted or assumed that Toyota assembles 6,000 TuRDs each year, leaving 23,000 for XLE V6 and XSE V6 as 11,500 produced each. Therefore it is estimated 6,000 TuRDs, 11,500 XLE V6, and 11,500 XSE V6 were made in 2023. However, because of price differential I would believe that at least 1,000 to 2,000 more XLE V6 were produced than the XSE V6. If prioritizing from the lowest to the highest production numbers it would be TRD, XSE V6, and finally XLE V6. As for the other trim levels with 2 types of powertrain as 9 remain for the 2024 Camry as they are, LE and LE Hybrid, SE and SE Hybrid, SE Nightshade, XLE and XLE Hybrid, XSE and XSE Hybrid. For 2025, instead of 12 variations of the Camry in the 8th Generation there are only 4 in the 9th Generation and they are all Hybrids starting with the LE, SE, XLE, and XSE, all with the option of either FWD or AWD. The plain/gasoline only Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) 4-cylinder and V6 are no longer used in production. Everything Hybrid. The demise of the Camry is here with the 9th Gen. 2025 Camry Hybrids as it is slow, lame, and Ugly inside out. Goodbye Camry!
