The Cardboardmancer! For real tho, the fact all of that is made of cardboard with that level of detail is bananas! There's a kiloton of talent behind that!

How some of these were made out of cardboard is insane. Perfect example of how one man’s trash can be another man’s treasure. Great video as always

A question I always had about cosplay, is how people make their own custom templates. Like how do they know how to map the pieces necessary to put them together into a finished piece?
@spicythaidesign74024 ай бұрын
Tin foil and masking tape technique. Sometimes it’s just winging it and a lot of practice ☺️

As someone who isn't super into reading (recently started trying to get back into comics and graphic novels), would I be better off getting one of the normal books or the illustrated book? Never read anything Tolkien related, don't read too often to begin with. I've heard the books can be overwhelming to some people but I have 0 idea
@rushingjaws78664 ай бұрын
I personally would recommend the actual book, but if it is too difficult the illustrated version would be better than nothing.

I won’t lie, they’re extremely dense reads. I don’t mean that I don’t enjoy them, because I do, but the words per page and pages per book are extremely slow to get through. An example I’ve heard that I like is that if there is a stool mentioned once in the book, Tolkien will make sure you know the height and width of the stool, how old it is, the type of wood, the forest in which it was felled, the previous owners, the pattern, etc lol. If you ask me, you should read the hobbit first, as that’s a pretty easy read and was written first anyways

Read the hobbit. It’s the first book in the series and it’s easy to read. Not too long either.
@paulmartin62094 ай бұрын
Also try using audiobooks.

You sound like me. I was never into reading and im still not. I like comics here and there but books have always been to much for me. BUT a while back i read the Hobbit which is an easy read. But im 100% planning on “reading” the LOTR books with help of the audio books voiced by Andy Serkis who played Gollum in the movies. It will helpt me for when reading is getting to much and i can switch back and forth between paper and audio.

One question I would pose to cosplayers is why would you promote a villain of a movie/story?
@spicythaidesign74024 ай бұрын
We promote all characters. But really enjoy the design of the Witch King armour.

Because Villains are fantastic characters and look badass! some people prefer them to your good characters 😅

I have a LOTR Question. Could they have used Smaug to destroy the ring had Bilbo revealed it to Gandalf?
@rushingjaws78664 ай бұрын
I wondered the same, but unfortunately not. In the fellow ship of the ring it says that not even the fire of Ancalagon the Black could have destroyed the one ring. I think that the ring needs to be made and destroyed at the same place.
@Pauw-n9t4 ай бұрын
Hobbit you mean

@@rushingjaws7866 That's insightful. I know some of the rings of power (three of the Dwarven ones) were destroyed by dragons so i wondered about the one.
@rushingjaws78664 ай бұрын
It said most could be destroyed by dragon fire but the one ring could not
@rushingjaws78664 ай бұрын
Also even when Gandalf found out about the ring, he was not immediately certain that it was the one ring
