In fact it's healthy, but when the shit is hitting the fan and the metal is meeting the meat, it is truly one team, united.I talk shit about the Air Force, like their motto is "Why dig in when you can check in?" AF PT is a brisk, 15 minute sit, etc. But every fucking time we were in a TIC, and we called for TacAir, they were there! Every single time. And there is nothing sweeter than hearing The Hogs roll in with their BRRRRTTTT. Many of us in The Army, Marine Corps, and Navy (Special Warfare Operators) owe our lives to The Air Force. But I still talk shit about them, just as they do about us.

The coast guard is under the department of Homeland security not the DOD (during wartime it can be transferred to the department of the navy under the DOD). As such they are funded by the DHS and underfunded as a result
@hihfty4 жыл бұрын
Ahhh i see, that makes more sense. Either way in these high call volume sectors where they are doing a lot of medical calls the benefit of having a higher level of care than EMT-B would be invaluable. They would definitely utilize the expanded scope.
@LordOceanus4 жыл бұрын
@@hihfty Isolated stations such as those in Alaska have integrated coast guard corpsman who are EMT-A and in stations where they have easy access to naval installations which are all over Florida they have Navy corpsman who they can call in who are also EMT-A if the case requires it. If they know the victim needs immediate high level care they also have flight surgeons which are EMT-P or higher. The main reason they do not give everyone EMT-A certification is that they have strict state and federal requirements to keep that certification and they would not be able to take on the training needed to be a rescue swimmer and EMT-A at the same time. In most rescues they do not need that level of training but then it is needed they do not hesitate to call upon those individuals.

A heart attack can lead to a cardiac arrest but having a cardiac arrest does not mean it was caused by a heart attack.
