Might be more shooting battles with the invading Canadian Navy or Coast Guard? You know that the Canafians do want to take control of all the areas of the Great Lakes and constant attack to do so? At one time the USCG was battling violent cigarette smugglers from Canada. Real shootouts over smuggling cigarettes into the State of New York. Use untaxed cigarettes to bribe US citizens to give up the Great Lakes.

@27:02 What in the world is that guy talking about LOL I was born and raised in New York and still live here. I've lived everywhere from big cities to upstate on top of a mountain. all throughout the state there are tons of places to go off-roading. My friends and I take our quads, side-by-sides and vehicles off roading everywhere around NYS. On sand, near cliffs, in and near water, Hudson river, mud, dirt , fields, mountains, in and around cities, you name it!!!!!River, He just didn't know the right people lol. Thanks for all you guys do in the coast guard!!!!!

No life raft, no abandon boat bag, no water resistant portable marine band radio, no rescue signaling lights. Is that the way all these fishing vessels are equipped in the Pacific? Sure the USCG will try to find you, but try to have some emergency communication equipment with you to help them do that.

Agree. These folks on the old fishing boat were shall we say 'ill prepared'. Even some small batt powered lights would've been *something*!!!! Plus the boat looked to likely be on its last (sea) legs... They clearly do not have the slightest regard for the ocean! This sort of stuff reminds me of folks who go hiking, or walking, without 1) water, 2) a cell phone or 3) any prep gear at all. Head-shaking.

As a guide in Montana I WISH we had these guys. I've had to ride 30 miles at a gallp to get ot a cell signal to get a chopperandUst fr me, I had t ride 25 miles with a busted knee. These Cg folks,, ginatbrass balls and totally and completely professional

Some of these vessels need what is in effect a fixit ticket, no fix, no fish. Boat is arrested until repairs are complete, not repairs started.

When one of the earliest European explorers was charting the area, he expected to find a river (the Columbia) which his ship could enter. Unfortunately for him, his ship couldn't enter the area due to shoals and he missed the river's existence. As he hadn't found what he hoped to find, he named the area Cape Disappointment.
