I'm a huge DB5 fanatic and I know Aston needs that sweet nostalgia cash, but these things are glorified toys priced like Dubai condos... the insane price is only adding insult to injury, and is frankly indecent in these difficult times of gross wealth inequality. I find the idea that Russian billionaires will buy these to go with their London mansions simply disgusting.

Both car Reg Number plates were FAKE Reg numbers issued by DVLA for the movies FMP 7B & BMT 216A Interesting fact that BMT 216A was first used on the TV series "The Saint" in 1962 staring "Roger Moore" before it was then used as James Bond's Car reg plate for the Aston DB5 ... "The Saint" then went on to use ST 1 for (Simon Templar) as the car reg plate for their Volvo P1800 as they couldn't obviously use BMT 216A as it was then being used for James Bond's movies. If you do a DVLA check on both plates they don't exist in real life ... !

This car is very special to my fathers side of the family....Odd family superstitious nonsense ahead: my father was born on Jersey, the second of his family. Grandad drove 3 wheeled Scammell lorries for British rail on the island in the 60s. Dads older brother was obsessed with the Db5 as goldfinger had just come out. Pleaded with my Grandmother for a corgi model. Alas they were quite poor and she said no. Not long later my uncle was struck by a car and the head injury resulted in a coma. Granny sat by his bed asking for him to wake up and promised him a DB5 would be there when he did. She went and got one and placed it beside his bed. Not too long after he did in the end wake up and then drove the hospital staff mad by firing the car across the ward any chance he got. I don’t think any of us amongst my cousins and I are without a corgi DB5 on the shelf just like his one, paired in my case with the Scammell 3 wheeler.

"Henry's friend 'Phil' was discovered to be an anomalous entity manifesting as a caucasian male cyclist whenever Henry travelled by road for extended periods of time. The entity had previously been dismissed as either an imaginary friend from childhood or a chronic hallucination, until [REDACTED], when a video surfaced of Henry driving a silver Aston Martin DB5 (featured in the 1964 James Bond spy thriller 'Goldfinger') for a documentary, during which he had an interaction with the entity and introduced it to the camera as his friend 'Phil'. The ultimate toy for the richest people on earth, imagine being one of the lucky few to have a brand new original James Bond car with working gadgets, amazing. I have a 1/18 diecast DB5 Bond car by AutoArt that has all the gadgets, and I guess that's about as close as I'll ever come to owning one. It even has an ejector seat, but then again so does my Toyota Highlander SUV, it's called my wife, she says GTFO now, and I'm gone, my ejector seat is more expensive over a lifetime and is still not completely paid for.

@thomaselliott5734 жыл бұрын
Yeah, all sounds la de dah and zip ed dee doo daa, but 3.3 million pounds? You really must be kidding. Great style etc. etc., but this is really an insult to any sort of human dignity. It appears as though car makers now have found a niche market for silly superficial twats who will pump up the price of any overblown silly prank. It is as if these fools with stupendous amounts of loot just want to find some utterly childish form of foolish indulgence to grossly inflate their own ego. Can you imagine listening to the tossers prattling on about this? No thanks.
