I am eyeing this car for my next lease. I love almost everything about it but money is an issue . Naturally I would love to get the 3.0 but I need to be financially reasonable . Is the 2.0 quick enough from red lights or do you feel cheated at all? Honestly?

Same question as Travels and chases. These cars are actually depreciating a lot and is a great investment as a second hand car. Would you say the 2.0 is punchy enough? Also what is your opinions on the screens without any buttons?

MAJIME[SRT] 2.0 is surprisingly quick. I test drove 3.0 too, but didn’t feel like extra performance was necessary to me. And all screen interface doesn’t bother me at all.

Looks are subjective but honestly MB interior looks much better and as far as driving dynamics the BMW 540i inline 6 is superior to the A6. Sadly Audi seems to always come in 3rd place against the other 2 German brand's

Hmmm one thing is strange here, from what I remember from a dealer only 2.0 TFSI has Quattro Ultra, 3.0 has normal Quattro.

Thanks for this informative video Chris. Based on your GPS in the car...we are in the same area in the Valley! I'm currently in the market and the A6, BMW 5 or the Model 3 Tesla are my 3 top options (already have a Lexus and a Merc. E300). I was considering the Velar or even the Macan, but, it's time to get back to a sedan. Your video may have tipped the scales for me towards the A6. The 2019 is months old now, so, hopefully we have some motivated dealers!! UNLESS you would consider waiting for the 2020.

It's interesting that the main stream top tier sedans barely gets better mileage than this. It has so much more power. The Mazda 6 turbo gets 26mpg in mixed driving. My driving is is pretty mixed. I'd give up a mile for the increase in performance.

Own one. Decent car. Very comfortable and effortless to drive. Don’t agree on the A7. It’s not as pretty. You still get split rear folding seats on the a6. The boot is 530 litres so generous but not quite as big as an E Class.

It’s better than a genesis in every sense. If you have money to spare then the Audi is worth it but if you’ll give up your last underwear for it then genesis is not a bad option either

Looking into getting the 2019 A6 with sports suspension and the 21" rims, but I'm concerned about the "smoothness" of the drive. You said in your video it's smoother than other cars, but would you say it's marginally smoother or significant? Worried I'll spend the $$ and feel every bump.

Nice review. But WHY the H E double tooth pick don't they have privacy glass on the windows? I find this SOOOO annoying on ANY car, let alone a luxury car. And the Center stack looks too wide, and too tall, restricting the driver's ability to stretch out on a road trip when on cruise. Question: how much difference is there on the audio options?

You can get privacy glass. It’s not standard though, probably because different countries have different laws on this.

Shame the A7 lacks rear head room. They should make the whole car slightly larger, so the proportions are retained, whilst increasing interior space.

Nice car, even though I don't like Audi's new obsession with screens. By the way, I would like an Audi owner to comment on the practicality of the virtual cockpit? How do you drive and look down through the steering wheel at a map? Why doesn't Audi close out the front bumper completely instead of putting those cheap pieces of plastic that are supposed to be air vents? Overall, though, gorgeous car!

Hi Bill, I have had my new A6 premium plus for about 1month. It is by far the most fun to drive car I have owned. To answer your question, I love that I can configure the windows anyway I want. Usually, I have the Sirius XM channels or the Audi Driver Assistance Window in the virtual cockpit screen. I use the center screen for the Navigation map. This way, I can scroll radio stations effortlessly and safely while driving, or see what the drivers assistance tech is imaging. When I am on route navigation, a small turn by turn window opens in the virtual cockpit that is very helpful.

Bill, I just picked mine up today and love it. I’ve had a 2015 and a 2016 A6. This model is by far much nicer. My only complaints are about storage compartments. Very little space. They even got rid of the sunglass holder. They also removed the under the drivers seat storage compartment. There is literally no storage compartments in this car. The ride is very smooth and the power is very responsive, just not as responsive as the 2016 with the supercharger. Overall a nice improvement and worth the money. I’ve worked in the automotive industry for 20 years and chose this over its competitors. I hope this helps.

Technology re: touch screens and voice recognition is getting old. You can buy Alexa for as little as $20 on Prime Day. But talking to a radio instead of pushing a button or turning a dial felt silly from the start and by now has become mundane, tiresome, a strike against the Audi. I'll look elsewhere for a car with a ride I'll enjoy from Wisconsin to Sacramento. As I adjust to being a senior, I might appreciate the novelty of two front seats with massagers for my wife's and my aching back.

I get better luxury interior in American trucks like King Ranch or new high end RAMs. This looks cheap with small LCDs. If I am buying a bottom feeder low rider like this, I get Tesla like rest of humanity. They need to stop making these.
