Only count four truck recommendations. The Toyota Tacoma is not a good buy anymore with its turbo engine, and excessive pricing in the higher trims. Out of the Frontier, Ridgeline, and Maverick, which are all good trucks, the Maverick takes the cake as best pound for pound truck for 2025

Nissan Frontier should be number 1 on this list. A 4cy pickup truck 🛻 reliability just went out the door 🚪. You definitely fell and bumped your head if you think a Ford Maverick 4cy hybrid with a cvt is as reliable as a Toyota Tacoma. For future reference, compare light pick-up trucks vs light pick-up trucks and large pickup trucks vs large pickup trucks.

Engine issues , transmission issue even the manual transmission is crapped out. Hybrid batteries failure, Quality interior is sucks suspension cracked on, they are not reliable nor durable enough, and also are so difficult and complex to repair, Stay away from 2024 and 2025 Toyota Tacoma 2- 2022-newer Toyota Tundra and Sequoia with 3.5L Twin Turbo I-Force Max V6 engine. The turbo failure, electrical problems, engine failure, transmission failure, overheating vehicle, overprice vehicle, expensive maintenance and expensive parts, crankshafts broken and water pump failure, they are not reliable I don’t care if you take care of it, it will always ALWAYS 🫵 be broken, stay away from any 3.5 TT V6s Toyotas and Lexuses 3- 2021 Honda Ridgeline with 3.5 J35 V6, another crappy Cylinder deactivation system in Honda which is gonna be more complex than GM AFM, 4000 bucks up to 8000 bucks to fix that engine with Honda, especially with cylinder deactivation system in V6 Hondas, I don’t care if mechanics are ranked excellent reliability, nope 🙂↔️ they are not reliable as they age, stay away from Honda ridgeline Peace ✌️

@joeb25882 ай бұрын
@jean-paulbourbonnais6682 I'm not sure at this point. Auto reliability seems to have taken a hit since the tech boom and the emissions rules tightening up. All these changes. Interestingly enough, I'd love a truck but can't really get one right one, and if I can make it work, i would get a Santa Cruz. I have an Elantra I bought new in 2018. 143k. Not one engine issue. Although I take exceptional care of it...
@tylerproctor4878Ай бұрын
Totally disagree with you about the ram 1500. I understand your concerns about the hurricane engine but its still available with the pentastar. Furthermore the design of the hurricane engine seems promising. Chevy makes a 2.7 turbo that has some similarities that has surpassed their LS motors with reliability number. But still ram base model tradesman with the pentastar engine seems to be the best option to get a comfortable, capable, reliable full size truck for competitivel the lowest price on the market. I have to question your decisions on the honda ridgeline and the Tacoma. Tacoma is a good truck but it doesn't seem to be pulling anything incredible this year and is having its own reliability problem. Its too similar to the ranger and Colorado but its 6 grand more. The ridgeline is the same problem 5 ft bed. Unibody only gets 1300 or so pound of payload and 5k towing. Why have a big v6 in that? It more money than the maverick with worse fuel milage and similar capability. Unless you just gotta have that comfortable unibody ride why spend 10k more. Buy a maverick

Back in 2021 I was tossed up between a Gladiator Willys and a TRD Tacoma. I rented the Tacoma and lived with it for two weeks. The only plus I can say about the Tacoma was that while on the highway the Tacoma was a lot more quiet of a ride. But to me that is to be expected out of a traditional hardtop vehicle. I purchased the Willys edition Gladiator after many test drives. I can say without hesitation it was way better of a truck than the Tacoma. It had more cabin room. It had disc brakes where the Tacoma in 2021 still had drum brakes, so as a result, the Gladiator stopped a lot better! The Gladiator was faster. I also felt as if it handled better. 62,000 miles in two years and not a single problem with the Gladiator. As far as looks go, I think they are both great looking trucks and that just comes down to opinion of taste.
