--------
Stand-up comedian Carlos Mencia sat down for his first interview with VladTV, where he spoke about his long-standing career, his upbringing, and his cultural background. Born in Honduras, Mencia grew up in East L.A., raised predominantly by his aunt, who was from Mexico, giving him a cultural blend of Honduras, Mexico, and East L.A. As a child, Mencia was free-spirited, spent a lot of time outdoors, and was influential among his friends due to his responsible nature. Despite having a large number of siblings (11 sisters and six brothers), Mencia points out that his family is a mix of full siblings and half-siblings and that it's easier for comedy purposes to simply state the total number. His comedic style has evolved over the years as he dedicated himself to embodying his diverse cultural experiences in his art. To hear more, hit the full interview above.

Don't forget Sam Kinison, Bill Hicks, Paul Mooney, Richard Prior, George Carlin, Johnny Sanchez, and Trey Parker and Matt Stone as well. All of those guys are dead aside from Sanchez, Matt, and Trey but I digress. There are specific examples of Carlos in either his standup or his show where he stole jokes from every single comedian mentioned.

People seem to be confused about what he did. He did not just talk about similar topics and then other comedians attacked him for it. He took jokes, reworded them in a style or way that his audience would like but was basically the same joke. It was not a coincidence, not an accident. It is completely obvious that it was done on purpose.

This dude so badass his coke dealer story was so realistic and i could totally tell it really happened just they way he said, from being the goody 2 shoes kid who always talked his friends out of doing dangerous stuff like sneaking into swimming pools with a disabled child, and a chick owing him $50 bucks but cant pay cash so gives him a gram of the pureat cocaine in LA which leads to her supplying kilos to him, then when he fronts a guy 2.5 oz out of a total of 5 that he paid for the other 2.5 that was worth 6k btw but the dishonest liar cokehead pos went on a bender and didnt pay him, so he had ro call his wife and tell her that he was coming to collect and not even the cops could help her because he was so feared and respected in an organization of drug dealers she should just leave her house with the door unlocked and after he collects the debt from one of his low level 5 oz flunkies he has a change of heart and that kid that used to be scared to sneak into the pools with his disabled cousin in a wheelchair startes to rise back into his conscious after being buried by the emotionless fearless ruthless cold of a honduran/mexican/german kilo trafficker and decides the fast life of thousands of dollars, pure columbian cocaine, respect, and being feared wasnt for him so he decides to to just give away the last of his cocaine after feeling guilty for collecting on a debt that he urgently needes to collect on to the point of home invading and took his brother along for the ride of his symbolic giveaway of his last coke and walking away from the life, but as fate would have it he passes a cop on his way to deliver it which is no big deal to carlos in fact he has such nerves of steel he even waves and nods to the officer as if to say telepathically you dont get paid enough buster, pretend im a good guy and look the other way, but his unexperienced brother has a look on his face that screams we have cocaine in the car! Please stop burning a hole in my soul with your laser like gaze! And the officers smell so things off and pull carlos over. Just when they are about to put his brother in cuffs carlos knows he has to step up as the hero for his brother and tells the officer to set him free and he will sacrifice himself and tell them were the cocaine that is strategically hidden in a secret panel of his car is located as they are exhausted of searching to which they agree, luckily for carlos as his brother runs home and the officers retrieve the pure Columbian coke from the occult like conpartment a female dispatch decideds to testify in carlos defense rhat he did nothing wrong and in fact the officers have broken the law by violating his 4th amendment and illegally searching him to which carlos prophesized about her being proud of the man he would later become thanks to her sparing his innocence and earns her a standing ovation at a comedy club years later. Hiw could you not believe him?

I remember watching Mind of Mencia occasionally. His style was a bit too silly and often relied too much on beaten, generic stereotypes for my taste. But I occasionally laughed. And you could see he had talent. He was also pretty good in the small role he had in The Heartbreak Kid.

The only reason Carlos is receiving hate for "stealing jokes" and rehashing them in his own style ((which were a lot funnier than the originals/ and which is also something a lot of comedians do)) is, because his style of comedy was against woke culture. He united different people through his jokes... which wasn't something the powers that be wanted; to have someone with great influence working through their mainstream media that was anti-PC...? That's not their agenda on the table. :)

If you watch this video all the way through and found him funny before but stopped paying attention to him and don’t want to watch him perform live. I would argue that you have no soul. Carlos came across genuine, believable and did not try to play the victim. I would love to see him climb back to the top where he was before. I really seriously doubt he knowingly stole anyone’s material. Just like a song sounds very much like another song but is just different enough. Comedy has to be the same way the funny is not necessarily in the joke it is how it is told and delivered. How many times have you seen the same movie premise come out around the exact same time. I can give you an example that is current civil war and iss. Carlos was definitely one of my favorite comedians and I hated to see him but by cancel culture. As vlad says he was the first to be canceled. Hell even joe Rogan has no beef with him now. My guess if joe could have vaulted in popularity to the same extent without stepping on someone on the way up he would even do it differently. Someone mentioned Bobby Lee and I watched the interview Bobby Lee did with him and he did not even say he stole his material. The George Lopez bit you can clearly see Carlos did it first. I tend to believe Carlos and that it was because the millennials could not stand being bumped. Hazing was a part of all desirous organizations, clubs, gangs, fraternities or sororities. I actually feel sorry for those that miss out on the brotherhood or sisterhood that hazing brings about. Carlos was hazed but when he tried to haze back they canceled him and it’s that simple. I was in a fraternity and I was gazed and grateful for it.

I feel really bad for him. He admits everything and nothing all at the same time. When you show everything but give nothing, that’s a clear indication of someone who is pathological. The talent this man possesses and let his ego get in the way of a lifetime of success. All he had to do was admit it, apologize and move on. If he did that when all this went down (when the internet wasn’t anywhere near what it is today) it would have never gotten to this point. Also having Vlad validate and ego boost him is even worse. He was one of my favorite comedians growing up. It’s sad to think he’s still living the same lie today. I’m almost positive that if he saw “this comment”, he would think I’m a hater and I want him to be going through this. Not at all. I wish him nothing but the best.

Problem is if someone takes credit for someone else's creation that the artist/musician/comic worked hard on, that's super lame. That's like if you worked really hard on a painting to put in your grandmother's house who has dementia so that she can remember who you are and then this douchebag steals it out of her house while she's sleeping and tries to sell it at an art gallery after telling everyone that HE painted it. It's like stealing the most intimate part of someone else that they spent many hours, days, weeks, months, or years creating so that you can feel important. It's really fucking lame.
