There are 7+billion people on the planet. 4% have come forward claiming to be the "best." The real master is one you dont hear or see about. Thats right. Let that sink in. He is the man who has an IQ OF 250+. Memory of a GOD and also, master at mind games.

Being a child of the 60s (the 1960s, that is), I have for a very long time doggedly insisted that Bobby Fischer was the GOAT. I have, however, since come to terms with the indisputable fact that the Norwegian maestro trumps even Fischer.

@@epicchess2021 It's a perfectly correct URL. Looks like KZbin's parsing ignores parameters. You could try adding a / before the ? - that will be functionally equivalent and maybe YT will accept it. Otherwise, you can work around the problem by using a link shortener.

I think the point of the name "150 attack" is not that you can "duff up" (beat) 150-rated players with it, but rather the opposite: Even a 150-rated player can play it and win against stronger opposition because it's so simple, and so easy for Black to go wrong.

I’m a Gukesh fan and I’m confident he will go on to win the World Championship Magnus is a cut above all the GMs it’s a shame he has his personal issues with the Fide system because I’d like to see him compete to be the best you have to beat the best and like you’re saying if Magnus won’t compete the Championship although very satisfying for the winner won’t be the same since we all know Magnus is the best player

Are quickies the future for chess, and go? They are sports, so why not emphasizing the ability to make perfect decisions in a short time? I guess AI plays an important role here, it tells you about the quality of your moves, and maybe it just isn’t necessary to ponder for hours to find the best move: in the old days players looked down at fast play, as it couldn’t be truly good, well, it maybe just is truly good, if you have the talent and the right mindset.
@johnjohn1446

I like fast chess because you can play a lot of games in a day and can build up a lot of memory and repetition from it. But I still like to play 3-10 minutes

Personally, I would love to see a per move time limit as opposed to a time limit for the whole game. When both players are down to a few seconds, it's just silly.
@paulbloemen7256
@paulbloemen7256 8 ай бұрын
@@tomeberhard74 I totally agree. The Fischer system - is it a “system”? - is quite perfect, like, starting with 10 minutes and adding 30 seconds per move made. After a few easy choices you have again accumulated a few minutes for difficult decisions. Works very well for both chess and go: Fischer had a brilliant idea off the board too.
@paulbloemen7256
@paulbloemen7256 8 ай бұрын
@@tomeberhard74 Let’s say, a decently long game has 60 moves per side, such a game would take 40 minutes per side if you start with 10 minutes and add 30 seconds per move. Maybe that’s too long, so you could consider starting with 1 minute and add 5 seconds per move. Then, the game would take 6 minutes per side, not that bad. One just has to try different settings, and ask the players what they like best.

I think Magnus' point is simply this: Any opening has strengths and weakneses - so why not play something unorthodox to avoid the line-memorizing drawmasters? In the end an opening is just away to get your farm animals, GOATs, sweaty nights and horses, erected bi-shops and moist Madamoiselles out of the stables and onto the muddy fields of Glory!😊 - God I ❤ Poetry😂
