Kelly, I just love you! Thank you for another great, uplifting video! You rock!!! I’m proud to say I’m a carnivore now for 14 months! I’m 68 years old, 5’2”” small bone frame. I went from 158 to 122 lbs! I’ve never felt better! Almost everyone around me thinks I’m crazy, or this is just a phase, you’ll gain back that weight, or, you’re too skinny! You need to stop that! Whatever! All I know is my body looks great, I’ve reversed some health issues and I feel better than I have in years! So thank you! Watching and learning from you and Dr Berry and Dr Chaffee helped me so much!

Hi Janet! I am also in my 60's, 5'2", small boned, and would love to weigh 122! I have only been doing carnivore since April. It gives me hope you have achieved what seems impossible for me. Do you fast also? Count macros? Keep calories in a range? I'm curious, thanks!
@janetsantoro96392 ай бұрын
@@sandylaramore2248 Hi Sandy, no, I don’t do any of that. I eat 2-3 times a day, stick to the animal products only, etc. I also did it without belonging to a group, which it might have been easier if I had a group for encouragement. I’m just stubborn as anything when I want to achieve something. There were weeks when I didn’t lose any weight, or even gained a little because I may have slipped a little, but the important thing is I did not give up. I believe you can do this! Best of luck to you!

Hi Kelly! Your videos never fault to help re-energize and motivate me to keep on going!!!!! I’m 521 days on carnivore and have lost 95 lbs, reversed/cured T2 diabetes, high blood pressure, IBS, acid reflux, brain fog, migraines, arthritis, depression, anxiety and alot more BUT… I’m def NOT perfect and last week I broke down at work when they brought in 3 dozen fresh Dunkin’ Donuts and guess what dumb ole sugar addict Papacarnivore did?? I ATE A FRIGGIN’ DONUT!!!! Well what happened? I not only felt super guilty and ashamed of myself for breaking down and doing it…. I ended up with a massive headache, a belly ache, felt like total crap for several days, my anxiety levels rose, but what did I decide to do about it?? I went home from work that afternoon and had a big fat juicy NY Strip steak topped with grass fed butter for dinner and got right back in the carnivore train!! Well, I decided to forgive myself (no one is perfect, even a 521 day carnivore!!)… And away we go!! I am the captain of my own ship and I just hit a little baby iceberg, fell off the ship and got right back on and I’m cruising forward once again. I just wanted to share this story bc it’s not the only time in 18 months that I’ve fallen into the “Carb Ditch” (as Dr Lisa Wiedeman calls it). It’s gonna happen but it’s all about what we as carnivores decide to do about it when it inevitably happens. Good luck fellow Carnivores!! 😊😊🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🐮🐮🐮🐮🐮🐮🐮🐮🐮🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐑🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓

I live on a beach in Nova Scotia but never thought of looking for sharks' teeth. I used to look for sand dollars. One year I set a goal of finding 24 sand dollars over 12 months. A couple of days after reaching my goal, I was walking on the beach when a woman walking toward me showed me over 20 sand dollars she had just found. What took me a year to achieve she accomplished in a few minutes. There's gotta be a lesson in that. Something like, "Be patient. The universe always delivers what you ask for."

I was in a group for sugar addiction for a month and I had to leave because the doctor on the Zoom kept coming back to my confession that I'd been clean for 8 months and intentionally went into the ditch on our anniversary with a cheesecake. The group was made up of long-time successful people and instead of using understanding and empathy I slowly realized they weren't embracing me with positivity but with shame about how I could intentionally go into the ditch and how stupid that was. I realized I was doing worse and maybe I was slow on the uptake to take a month to see it, but I realize that I personally need encouragement and understanding and that's what I get from Kelly. I didn't need to be the poster child of the group of how stupid it is to plan to eat sugar for special occasions. It was a lesson learned yes, but I learned it! I didn't need to keep being beat over the head with it.

Probably the most intriguing video title, you got me! Yeah, you gotta hang out with your Tribe, right? My best friend is a few years younger than I am (I'm almost 68) and though she's attempted carnivore, she has many health issues and has backed off a bit into ketovore. I even interviewed her on my channel about our carnivore journeys. Some of her issues are better like digestion and eczema and she's still on the path. We keep each other going, though. She's ultra thin, underweight, and can't gain. I am hypothyroid and used to weigh 199 lbs at 5'5" tall, but the same way of eating, though I am more carnivore than she is, (I eat mostly beef, bacon and eggs with a bit of dairy), is helping us both. I'm now 138 lbs, same as I was at 18 years old post-Stillman diet; back then, I was still very sugar-addicted, but no more. She was whole foods, plant-based and not a sugar eater. This works for both of us because it's the proper way to nourish your body. Your channel is an amazing resource and inspiration to me. ~Cynthia, N. GA mountains

Focusing on the PAIN it causes is so important. Also, figuring out what triggers you. Stress can trigger me. I can see my glucose drop after getting stressed. And that leaves me "craving". The support group, headed by a nutritionist, would say how the only thing they could keep down - other than the shakes - where chocolate chip cookies. I went twice. I didn't need to know how I could cheat, I needed to know tips on how to stay true to my new way of eating! After loosing only 80 pounds (needed to loose 160), and regaining 60 of them during the next 11 years, I have been eating carnivore since May 2023 & from my highest weight (12 years ago) I am now down 107 pounds - 87 of them in 14 months I have been doing carnivore. 50 to go, but I can do so much more now & feel so much better! Low carb does help with weight loss, but for me the carb cravings continued until I went no carb/ closer to carnivore. I still drink coffee, tea and occasional dairy. But the increased protein and only animal carbs has really helped with decreased cravings as well as improved mood . Getting rid of the cravings makes success possible, when you are always craving the worst foods it is way more difficult. I also noticed health benefits, decreased inflammation and increased energy, and muscle strength doing every day stuff.

I think it's awesome advice to 'find your people' within the carnivore community. Unfortunately, other than the free posted videos, like this one and many others, it costs money to join 'communities' now.. I don't say this to disparage those who are choosing to charge people for access to their knowledge and celebrity. They've discovered a great way to make a living. It's just to say in our current state of economy, and considering it's mostly the poor and near poor people who have to resort to empty carbs for their food, paying for 'friendship and community' is never going to be an option. I am 100% grateful to be able to watch and learn from the free videos from everyone who posts them, but that's not really community. In my carnivore dream, there is time when I can reach out to people in my town and say.. "hey who's down for throwing some steaks and burgers on the grill, no sides please"..

Your content is top notch not only on your KZbin but your groups classes are so amazing! You bring new material to us all the time. I love you analogies! I'm a sea glass hunter myself!

Excellent lesson! As always, Kelly, you know how to use everyday experiences as analogies for succeeding as a carnivore (or just succeeding at all!!!). Thank you for another great video!

In my country,many people, especially surfers, wear a shark's tooth around their neck. I look for shark's teeth, but I i love finding shark pouches ie egg casings. They used to be very rare, but as people become more aware of the importance of sharks in the environment, I am happy to say, I have no trouble finding them these days.

I struggled with a wicked sugar addiction for nine years after going carnivore. Stopped binging but still ate A LOT of sugar. In and out of carnivore. What worked finally for me was to spend 2 months eating all the fatty meat, eggs, cream, seafood, cheese I could eat with the support of groups. That broke the addiction and I have not had sugar in a year. Sill waiting for healing and fat loss, but I feel so much better.

Hi Kelly! Thank you for another excellent video! Your videos and especially your groups have helped me along my carnivore journey. I have been carnivore for one year this month 🎉❤

I used to collect seashells. Scuba diving for live shells to sell online. I would take one from my own collection and just hold and look at it before going out. This technique works really well for the shells that are very well camouflaged on the reef.

And this is why keto never stuck for me until 2 years ago. Firstly my why is much more clear, but also, I'm in two keto/carnivore groups where I've gotten to know other people struggling through this like me. Community matters!

Kelly, thanks so much for this video today. I'm on day 171 (almost 6 months) of living a carnivore lifestyle now, I've lost quite a bit of weight (75lbs so far) and doing so much better now. The problem I discovered was that I was a food addict. It doesn't matter what, I will overeat. I will overeat by large numbers quite frankly. In the beggining I was eating 3mad, then it quickly became 2mad, and then eventually I was 1mad (Omad) and for a period of time, my hunger signals seemed to be in good shape. However in conjunction with becoming carnivore, I was made redundant and have been out of work for the entire time. It was okay for the most part, I had a generous severance package and was put on 'garden leave' for 3 months (I was still getting paid at my full salary/benefits, but was not allowed to work or contact my former office). that's ended and we are living on my severance now, but as time goes on and the job hunt has been fruitless, my stress levels are increasing. Yesterday, I ate way (weigh - snicker) more than I should have. I'm talking having half a bone in pork belly (best I ever made tbh) added over my 6 scrambled eggs, 6 pieces of back bacon. I also soloed about 250g (half a pound of genoa salami during the day. I'm feeling a bit lost and stressed as my 'gains' have been stalled and due to a stupid injury I haven't be able to put in the mileage on my walks that I usually do. These tips today gave me something to focus on and to try. It gave me a handle to hold onto to get through this. Thanks so much for putting these out and sharing your knowledge and experience. Hopefully soon I'll be back in work and can join a community/tribe that will help me share and learn from. Creators like you and others have been my life line, and also helped my wife come on board (she's Keto-vore, can't give up the pickles and cabbage) so we are always thankful for what you guys are doing. Bless.

Definitely a shark tooth hunter here. Would love to spend everyday walking on the beach scouring the beach for sharks teeth. I'm semi retired and can't wait to be fully retired so I can move to a place where I can do it.
