INFORMATION ABOUT CIRS:
If you aren’t healing and feeling MUCH better after six months of eating this way, I would encourage you to look into other possible causes.
A quick intro to CIRS: chriskresser.com/5-things-you-...
A link on the protocol to surviving mold exposure: www.survivingmold.com/legal-re...

One way to order the CIRS labwork: www.nutritionwithjudy.com/shop...
If you think you have CIRS, but you aren’t able to afford the treatments, eating a carnivore diet while also getting extra sun exposure and eating omega 3s (seafood!) does help some people to feel relief from symptoms. Removing yourself from an environment with mold and avoiding excess environmental and dietary toxins is never a bad idea, but I know it’s not always an easy fix. And if none of that gets your symptoms to go away, PLEASE know that there are ways to make the Shoemaker protocol more doable. THERE IS HOPE, and you don't have to be a millionaire to find healing by using this protocol. ❤

YES, the carbonated water is a GAME CHANGER!! I buy the La Croix PURE (which is just water no additives). My local grocery store has them on sale every few months for buy one get one free ($6 for 12 cans for one case but when they are on sale you get 24 cans for $6) walmart is around $4-5 for 8. Sometimes Aldi's has them for the same price as walmart. When my local grocery store chain has them on sale for buy one get one free I stock up with about 10 cases & they keep well. I drink one per day or a few per week. so they last and just hit the spot. Prevents eating snacks.

To vswild - I've been debating signing up with Kelly. You've been a part of her coaching group. You really like it, huh? I need to drop some weight. I'm back on carnivore. I just put 1 week of intermittent fasting under my belt. I didn't like it at first, but it's getting easier. I think I need some help. The tools she's talking about might help me. The carb manager and the TDEE.

@kefirheals7383 Hi, yes so each class has a smaller group of people that meet together on a weekly call with Kelly, and have their own private smaller facebook group. You get familiar with the people and it's less overwhelming and more of a safe space than other giant groups. In the fb group people share their daily food, activity etc and Kelly answers questions. On the call, first anyone who likes shares how things are going or asks a question, the second half of the call Kelly teaches her very down to earth approach to carnivore, mental/general health etc. She also has a massive handbook she gives to people and updates it with relevant info mostly every week. I like it because it gives method to all the madness, and daily encouragement and positivity without the noise

That dopamine one is WILD!! When I first went keto (I'm carnivore now) back in 2020 I kinda got into this weird thing with online shopping. And NOW I'm wondering if it's because I shopped online when I was craving carbs and stuff in the beginning lol. It makes so much sense after hearing you explain the "seeking mode" and dopamine being up during that time.

Do not under eat. Especially if you are someone that is really concerned about losing weight. You might think you will need to watch your calories on carnivore because that's what you are used to on the standard American diet. Under eating will just make you feel hungry all the time, sink your energy, and slow your metabolism. I was intentionally under eating for months and I started feeling really bad and carb cravings came back, not to mention that my weight loss slowed. Once I started just eating as much as I wanted and didn't worry about it I started not only feeling much better but I started to lose weight again without having to starve myself. It's nearly impossible to be overweight on carnivore. Just trust your body.

So interesting. Yes I swapped my carb cravings for clothes shopping without realising it. This happened when I struggled with fasting. So I’d tell myself when I was in town and felt the urge to buy chocolate and pastries “I am fasting today so I will reward myself with buying this dress - not with sugar” then I’d buy the dress, feel great and walk home with it telling myself “you can’t put a price on health” for the money I’d spent and then for some strange reason later I found it easier to get through to the next morning still fasting. I need to think what I can do for carnivore cravings 🤔

Brilliant video. Thanks Kelly you are always so inspiring. That Dopamine tip is awesome. Guess I'm a dirty Ketovore. My carb calculator is my belt. If I need to tighten it by a hole, well that's a sign for Avo on Gluten Free Toast or maybe a handful of sweet potato fries. Most days I'm a good carnivore but I do believe in some variety to keep me metabolically flexible. 24 hour fasting has really regulated my weight and craving, once a fortnight.

I do share some of it, but even if I ate it all myself, so what? It's delicious. It's cheap. It's convenient. Ok, a little update. I ended up doing the egg fast July 5-11, and lost 3.8kg (a little over 8lbs, 98.8kg-95kg). What I was really excited about was my fasting blood sugar levels going from 7.7 to 4.8. I know I still need to heal my body before expecting all the weight to melt off in a week (sorta kidding) so my goal is to do carnivore for 100 days (October 13). I currently have not incorporated any exercise, but know my body needs it, so will start walking daily. I will take measurements again at each month mark. Will also start using carb manager because I may be under eating/not hitting my macros of 80/20. Thanks for all your tips and videos, Kelly! I rewatch often to pick up things I missed the first time.

Thank you for this video! It was perfect timing for me. I am on this journey alone. I have 2 teen boys and my husband at home who can (and do) eat however and not be affected 😢 but I've been keto/carnivore for 2 years and felt amazing.....but lately have reincorperated things I know I shouldn't eat and I'm paying for it. These tips are very helpful for a reset!❤❤ Thank you Kelly!!❤❤

I buy Aldi 73:27 in the 5.5 lb pks. I freeze 11-12 patties on a cookie sheet and then bag them in a few hours when they are frozen. I love the extra fat. Sometimes I wrap it in a piece of bacon and air fry it

@@philipfenton-ree5131 I mix 5 grams of salt into 500 grams of ground beef. (I like it with a bit of fat in it for good flavor) I mix it and squish it a bit with my hand so that it's nice and sticky. Then I pat it out on parchment paper and lay a second piece of the paper on top. Roll that thin. Remove the top paper and lay that on my oven tray. (I don't have a dehydrator so I use my oven) I am still perfecting the temp and times but I basically cook it very low, but I googled the appropriate temp for dehydrating meat. I do that for 15 min or so...until the meat has a cooked look. Then I lower the temp more and go for a few hours. I check occasionally and mop up any moisture or fat that puddles. Once that side looks like fruit leather, I place another parchment paper over the top and flip it. A few more hours low and slow gives it a nice beefy flavor. I let that cool down in the oven to dry out a bit more... Then I cut it up with cooking shears. You can keep going on a higher temp until it's crackers but I find those too dry and not as yummy. I storage in the freezer because I keep some fat in. But they can stay for hours out of the fridge and are perfect for travel. Super light weight, filling and yummy!

Thanks so much for all the great info, Kelly! Your TDEE calculator helped me to learn that I was undereating. Increasing calories helped me to feel great energy, resolved dry skin, and broke my weight loss stall! Since my 4 work days per week are relatively sedentary but my days off are very active, I found that I do better having separate calorie goals for each. Thank you Kelly!!!

Loved this video also. I think I watch too many influencers and what I really need is to join a coaching group and get myself some structure! I want things to be simple but this video revealed that we may experience results differently from others doing the same dietary things. I honestly needed to hear that. I feel like I should know all of this but I have to accept that I truly need the guidance and experiences of a carnivore tribe!
