I’ve been following Caroline since April 2020, and this is the toughest, meanest leg workout so far. I can’t believe I made ir trough 🔥🔥🔥🤗🤗🤗

Hi everyone....looks like a good solid leg day! I remember a calf focussed workout from Caroline in the summer that left my calves sore for about three days after and lunges are the best thing for quads...it will be good to revisit the Bulgarians! Have fun everyone and happy Monday! Matthew

Hi Kathy...it’s 5.30 am but I like to workout around 6.00 am. I am very much a morning person...I am often asleep by 9.30 pm so I get plenty of sleep. Just the way by body clock is set I guess! You needn’t worry about me! Matthew

For anyone who may find this helpful: I completed Epic Endgame and Epic III; currently just finished this Day 32 of Epic II with two 35 lb dumbells :) Would never have gotten this much stronger without Caroline's workouts

I take back what I said in the past when I thanked Caroline for the ‘rest’ calf raise exercise. In today’s workout the 3.5 mins of calf raises showed me that it is NOT definitely a ‘rest’ exercise. I’m sorry Caroline and thank you for showing me the way. 😜 Go go go CG fam!

Holy cow Caroline, this one was tough! I used two 15lb weights all the way up to the horrible valley of calf raises. Could not pick up my weights after that, did the rest of the workout without them. PS I'm 57 :)

All these lunges 😩 literally couldn’t walk at the end! Almost felt a little cross with Caroline at the finisher, like ‘really? More?’ 😀 Did it with 2x10 kg and I think it was quite intense, love it now that it’s over 😆🥰

I am on day 32 and this is the hardest work so far. I am writing this comment and my legs are still shaking. I only today knew the meaning of calves. Thanks Caroline you are amazing for pushing us to be better ❤️

This was the first time ever I was cursing at the screen before the 4th exercise 😅 and my calves! That part set the whole back of my legs on fire, literally like I was standing against a heater... thank you Caroline!

Monster workout! The body weight alternating lunges felt like a gift towards the end of a tough session!. Thank you, Caroline, for pushing me to do things I'd never in a million years do on my own!

Did this one at 9pm and told myself I was going to quit around 32% (should have warmed up first) but pushed through a few more exercises and started to feel good. I have a lot of gratitude that 1. bulgarian lunges were not the staple exercise 2. how far I've come since epic 1 day 7 lunge workout when I couldn't believe Caroline was doing yet another lunge set. The calf raises were a great new challenge. I laughed at myself as I attempted the calf raise pulses. Always so much respect for Caroline knowing exactly how to bring specific muscle groups out. So many positive physical and mental changes since starting. This is day 82 for me of EPIC!

I thought the hamstrings was going to be a nice break. When I tell y’all my legs are dead! This was the hardest leg day I’ve had on this program but I freaken did it and I’m proud of myself. *drinks coffee and reevaluates my life for a moment* God speed everyone!

OMG MY LEGS!!! This has to be one of the best leg workouts I've done in a long time!! I used my 5lb 8lb dumbbells and my 10lb plates. My calves I don't think I've ever worked them like this. Caroline thank you again for all of these great workouts. For the Bulgarian split squats I used my bosu ball not sure how effective that was but I felt it. For those who have finished congrats and hopefully we can walk tomorrow 😁😁 For those just getting ready make this your workout and use weights that are challenging and if you have to change them do so I did and it was more challenging. Mist of all have fun with it. 👍🏻👍🏻💯💯💖💖

*THE BRUTALITY OF LOUNGES* once you're shakey and exausted, you have to repeat everything on the other side! But also, Caroline's suffering and commitment at 44:58 gave me the strength to complete this workout! No scaling down or modifications, NOT EVEN IN THOSE BULGARIN SETS!! Thank you Caroline 💕

This is one of the most challenging workouts from you , Coach . I would rate it right up there with the grit complex I did from epic 1. My legs gave out . After the first lunge complex , I dropped my weight . Did everything body weight . I kid you not , I was sweating like a pig and couldn’t feel my legs . Dropping weight didn’t reduce the intensity , it made me focus more on form and depth . So I went with it . There is something about foot elevated lunge that throws you off balance ( you might tell me it is coz my calves and knee aren’t super strong 😞) I usually go very heavy on normal lunges but this was too challenging . I got ambitious and went heavy for the calf raises but 3 and a half minutes 😆 , no way I could manage that . Dropped weight again but it was equally challenging . I love how working out with you is a learning process . I can pinpoint my strong muscles , I can also figure out the weak ones . I can measure growth and I can gauge the path I need to walk . It is a process of self awareness for me . Truly spiritual in nature . Thank you from the bottom of my heart .You are a wonderful guru. It is not something that comes easy to people . Stay awesome ❤️

Wow.. level up.. At 47% I was begging you to change lunges to smth else.. Charlie Chaplin (heels together slow raises) saved me.. now I understand “jelly legs”, never happened before 😁 Haribo goldbears in a new version 🐻

Sooooo we are supposed to be getting ice later today and I think I should go ahead and walk the puppy. My lower body after this workout and ice sounds like a really bad combination 😆 All of those elevated lunges were amazing and brutal and then I was so happy to see calf raises and then about 20 seconds in, I was ready for lunges. I started laughing when I saw the workout tip was about 7 minutes of calf raises 😂 I can't wait to do this one again!!!! Thank you for all of your hard work. I have always known that you spend so much time creating, filming and editing these but I saw an article this morning where you said that you can spend upwards of 10 hours a day- not including responding to our comments, messages and emails. Thank you just is not enough. We love you!!!! 💓💓💓💓

My calves are still sore from Friday’s calf raises .Might have gone too heavy.Those babies are going to be thrilled . I always thought my lower body was super strong.Caroline showed me the light and truth.Humbling 😊

Caroline, I have not had an opportunity to thank you in a while. Please rest assured, you have become a daily habit. If I miss one, I catch up later. I don't want to miss a single one. It has been a fun, satisfying and most worthy journey with you. I thank you with all my heart and soul. You are truly a shining light. And yes, I am a sweaty, stumbling mess after this one! CAROLINE!!!!! This workout was amazing. Before I found your channel, I absolutely hated lunges. I could never balance nor do them properly. However, workout with you really made me fall in love with lunges and i have balance now. I’ve gotten so much stronger and am upping my weights. You are amazing. Your workouts are amazing. This is literally the hardest workout I have ever done. I used my homemade weights of 7.5 kg and believe me I literally had to use only one weight while doing most of the lunges. My legs r super sore and for the first time I really felt my calves on fire. I could never thank Caroline enough for what she's doing for me and us.

I used to hate leg workouts on youtube cause they only focused on glutes. now they’re some of my favourites, because Caroline includes so much work for THE UNDERRATED CALVES!!! I also have a love/hate relationship with hamstring exercises now. Super pumped to do this when I get home!

Love lunges any day and this was amazing.The calf raises and Bulgarian lunges 🔥🔥.And my calf muscles decided not to co operate during the fast paced raises 😅.Will revisit this workout for sure.Thanks Caroline.Have a great week everyone 😊

I love that she has continued to make these workouts free as everyone continues to be able to take advantage of them. It really shows that helping people achieve their goals/dreams are more important to her than making a quick buck.

Sometimes, the job of a coach is to make you miserable in the short term for progress in the long term. Today was one of those days. I do some kind of exercise pretty much every day, but I know I'd never willingly subject myself to this kind of "suffering" unless someone was pushing me to it. Thank you, Caroline, I'm grateful (now that it's over)😁😆

My textbook couldn’t stay still during the first rounds at all and I wasn’t risking myself breaking an ankle and I took off the ankle weights on my wrist. I just hyper focused on my form and quality of reps and getting them right for each side. I learned to not be extra as I had a workout without adding extra pressure. I still was sweaty without being extra and I treated myself to a strawberry banana and blueberry and peanut butter protein oatmeal for working so hard. I honestly didn’t think I could do this when I saw it this morning. I’ll admit I psyched myself out and just let the workout take over. Thank you Caroline for this mornings killer workout

Same! My textbook was slipping all over the place, so I omitted it after the first 4 sets. To be honest, as long as my knee hit the floor and my front leg formed a 90° (give or take a little) I considered it just as difficult a rep as an elevated lunge would have been.

Exactly I probably should have used my ankle weights more but I was so into my workout and it was effective without them. I always try to be perfectionist but have trouble with comparison on some days. Today was definitely slow pace and balanced which I think is needed to help you enjoy the workout and understand your body

Hi Devansh...lunges are just so good for quads...the best exercise I think! What Caroline has really taught me is to go for high reps but to make that interesting by having so much variety! Makes it fun! Have a great workout! Matthew

What a great challenging leg 🦵 day! Those calf raises were intense, but awesome. I recovered from plantar fasciitis and a heel spur this past year, and calf raises are what strengthened my calves and helped me heal, so I was excited to see them in this routine. Solid leg session Caroline😘

I think this was one of the hardest of all in EPIC 1 and 2......the pause button was quite active and there multiple times I had to stop and reset for a moment. 😲😲😲😲🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🦵🏻🦵🏻🦵🏻🦵🏻🦵🏻🦵🏻🦵🏻Talk about brutal! Thankfully I made it to the end of this insanity! If I have learned anything from Caroline, it is that I can generally do more than I think I can. Thank you, Caroline....I am so grateful you appeared on my IPad!!! ❤️❤️🔥🔥💪

No but you don't understand how tough was these exercises for me today. I'm just having cramps, i'm on my period, it's so hot here, not to mention i really dislike lunges omg i'm so glad i finished

I can’t believe I survived this!!! This was more reminiscent of E1D17. I remembered I repeated E1D17 in December but with a yoga block and I was sore for the next 2 days. 😅 Used 20lbs. When it was the b/w calf raises, I used 1 x 15lbs DB. Had to drop the DB when Caroline did the pulses though. 🔥 Thanks, Caroline, for the challenge! 🦵🦵 ✅2/15

💙DAY 32💙 I did this workout in the morning and I'm writing this comment in the evening: 'Oh my glutes are sore !!! No feedback from calves yet, but the calf sets 🔥🔥🔥🥵😁 intense !! Finisher lunges Amazing 🥵🔥🥵😁 your thumbs up and positive encouragement during the rests and the sets and the great music got me through this no mercy lower body session! Thank you Caroline 💙💎💙

Oh GOODNESS Caroline (Happy St. Patricks day by the way) - this was an EPICally challenging workout, my bum is at a “dead stop” while my calves are BAWLING! Calf raises. Easy peasy lemon squeezy....I thought to myself smiling..... 50 seconds in....I can't repeat the expletives I was thinking....that was torturous. I'll never look at calve raises in the same way again. They now have my utmost respect. Thanks Caroline. I still love you .😤😳

oh my gosh i did not see this coming. this is by far the most difficult one to finish for me. i struggled with my form and also the elevated lunges were such a pain in my a**. but i love being challenged so thank you Caroline!

Did this a second time on my active rest day after getting my 10k steps, cos I just felt like it :) It was hard, no doubt! But felt that after Epic 2 and the KB series, I could do a few more reps. Did not up my weights though and used my 5 kgs. I hope you never stop posting your lower body workouts at least, Caroline. They are just, just great!

This workout is really good at preventing me from bingeing on snacks. Because the day after the workout, my calves are too sore for me to walk to the kitchen.

Though legs workout always my favourite, I have to say this one is a real killer! I had never done so many lunges in a row , with mixed love and hate feeling 😅😅, and I had never imagined that I could do it. But Caroline you made me... now relaxing in my couch, all the soreness and pain magically gone, like a miracle!! 🥳🥳Can’t wait for tomorrow! Thank you 🙏 🙏

KILLER! 👍👍 That was not only a serious test of strength and endurance, but as we headed further into those lunges and more fatigued, it was a serious test of my balance!!!!! Incredible! 💖

😁 Thats my best legs day to date, used 12.5kg and it was awesome. Love the yoga block for depth and the bodyweight after is just such a burn. Bulgarians again good depth and hard enough with the weight but once more the bodyweight bang hits you after 20secs and the fire starts. Really like working the Calves from all the different angles but again the burn 🔥 and the desire to keeping going was just a constant battle..... think I won though. The finisher was the classic lets drain those legs of everything they have left. Feel good an definitely see leg progression. 👊👊👊 Didnt seem like 50 mins see you all tomorrow 😉

Same!! I used about the same weight... those bodyweight lunge pulses in the beginning were absolutely brutal, but I found the rest of them bearable lol

I cannot wait to do this workout 🏋️‍♀️ love all your routines. Yesterday I talked my husband who is an athlete (soccer player in college, weightlifter, and still does MMA) to try your back routine from last week. We have home gym and under normal circumstances go to another gym. He said he thought the combinations were creative and tough. We already do your ab routines together ❤️. He suggests that if you add some different music, you may get more male subscribers.. But please don’t change too much and don’t change your themed songs (beginning and ending). I am starting to hum some of these in my head. It would not be a Girvan workout without the unique music😊. Than you. 🙏

Maybe I’m exception but I love lunges! Particularly Bulgarian lunges! Such a complete exercise for leg/gluteus/hamstring and core for stability! Love it! Thanks a billion Caroline!

Hi Cobra...yes...I enjoyed the lunges too...there was so much variety that the time flew by. Lunges are certainly the best way to work quads...and sometimes you just need to do a high-rep lunge workout! Matthew
