Hahahahaa i thought no one was schocked by it too. His sexist narcissism is just too agresive, too hurtful and too obvious as well. Sadly, stories have an impact, a very strong one… And in those days, toxic and horrible relationships were normal to watch, forgiving infidelities, justifying unacceptable behavior, being the therapist of a messed up man who didn’t want to deal with his emotions because he is very manly and too cool for school, until he meets that girl that makes him laugh again, that understands him, support his dreams, making him feel safe… and then he did a fucked up thing and she pushed her away and at the end he goes to the airport to prevent her from going on to the next chapter by saying that he got scared, that too much love was a very strange feeling to grasp and that he LOVES her. And just because a person was able to identify and name their feelings; everything was forgiven and celebrated. I work in that area and i see a lot of Millenials struggling because everything changed but they are programmed to be repeating the same patterns, to boicot their own happiness, that they cannot find a true connection because the other millenials are married, centennials are not very demonstrative and the other single millennials are just as fucked up.

lisa bradford I am so sorry for your loss , I am glad you left him but I am sure it was not easy hearing about him passing away. I did the same after 12 years, it took place a year ago, he never wanted to have any type of commitments and I kept compromising and bending and reforming myself to meet his growing demands hoping that this would change his mind until I felt That If I bend any more I would break, we had a fight and he said that he is ( suffocated) and that he needs to move on, I was sobbing when he said that but I felt a huge burden being lifted of my chest and I said: well know that I have loved you to no end and I gave you my all and I have nothing left to give, to which he replied: I have to hang up I need to work. I hang up and ran to my mom and hugged her crying and laid in her lab until I was calm but that was it, I never called and I never texted him again ( which was some thing I used to always do whenever he broke up with me before), it was very painful but it is as if you have a gangrene in your leg, sure your leg is very important but if it stays attached to your body any longer it would kill you, and this is how I felt breaking up with him, I felt I am giving up a limb. He tried to reach out 6 month after we broke up but I ignored his messages and then he disappeared from my life, I am still recovering and I am still learning to rebuild a life that was constructed around him but I am very proud of myself. It takes a lot of courage to make the decision to walk a way from someone you really love

No, she didn't look happy at all. Carrie was obviously shocked to see him. She never smiled the whole time before she got in the car and then she was polite (with a fake half-smile) but aloof in the car. then she gets annoyed when he becomes nosy because she is only giving minimal information as he tries to pull her back into their relationship. Since Carrie is over him (finally!) she gets the hell out of the car because she knows his game inside and out and just wants to get on with her life. She's annoyed when he gets out of the car and makes a firmer attempt to suck her back in followed by a joke about the Russian showing again how he can go from supposedly loving to flaky in an instant (like he did endlessly in their previous relationship). then when he says "when were you going to tell me?" about her moving to Paris - displaying epic / gigantic hypocrisy - she REALLY goes off on him. this is Carrie finally looking out for her own best interests.

She didn’t look happy. This is the look of shock and anguish. She knows how much she loves him and she knows how much he never wanted her as more of a casual thing. She’s afraid to fall in his charm and get hurt again. That’s why she gets sooo mad. She’s fighting herself. Unfortunately she lost. That’s sad because that’s what happened. She believed him only to end up hurt, humiliated and alone at the altar because after 10 years, the man still needed reassurance and encouragement to marry her 😢 Not to mention he did NOTHING to get her back after that ( no flowers, no coming to her door, no letter of explanation or asking to meet her , nothing). And yet, she forgave him…again. If we look at the facts ( not the 5 mn of happiness in the movies) it’s a pretty scary story,

People act like Carrie ending up with Big undoes the magic of this scene. BUT I think if Carrie hadn’t exploded at him like this, they never could have been together long-term. She needed to put him in his place and make him think he’d lost her to FINALLY clock all the shit he’d put her through. It’s a really important moment for his character arc and brings him closer to being the man she deserves. I’m not sure I’m 100% pro Big and Carrie being together, but I do think this is a powerful moment for Carrie and I don’t think it’s undone by later events.

Este hubiera sido el final de un amor tan tóxico como el de ellos, pero no, tenían que regresar y seguir con la toxidad, me recuerda a mi relación tóxica de 7 años, pero lo mío si acabó gracias a Dios.

I think Carrie never let big talk. Just slow down and talk and think and say what he was thinking and feeling. She always pushed, pulled and shut him down. Over and over he tried to tell her EXACTLY what he was thinking, feeling, wanting, not wanting and she just never SHUT UP and LISTENED.

Bro did you watch the whole season? Big was a jerk to her throughout. He had it coming honestly.
@cannellecinnamon5504 Жыл бұрын
There was nothing to listen here. His actions for the past 6 years spoke for themselves: he didn’t value Carrie. No amount of “I love you “ would change that. She should have not even sit in his car.

Because he was reciting he same lines that other guys say when they're trying to get back a woman they supposedly appreciate. Plus, when a man doesn't appreciate you and a new one that does comes along, you're not gonna care what the bad one has to say.

Do yall ever noticed Big only wants Carrie when he can’t have her? When Carrie stopped returning his calls he started to put in actual effort to see her. When they were in a relationship he was completely detached

For the first Time i do agree with Carrie’s character’s reaction. This guy keeps pushing on her. She missed opportunity to have a baby with him until she’s 38 years old when it’s time to get over it because You re too old. I would have been pissed off too. She should have slapped him. No woman deserves being treated so badly

Carrie never want a baby! she always said it!!
@cannellecinnamon5504 Жыл бұрын
@@karlamilitzapinillogonzale2481 Carrie was never sure if she wanted a baby or not. She was always questioning it and never came up with an answer. Even in the last season she was sad that Petrovsky didn’t want to have kids. She had a whole conversation with Samantha about it. It’s only in the second movie that she had decided with big ( was it even her idea? We don’t know) that they would not have one and she seemed fine with it.

I can’t imagine Carrie having a baby. She’s way too superficial. She’s also self-absorbed, but I disregard that because she’s single. Who else would she devote her time and attention to?

Through Carrie, Sex and the city does not have a good message for women. Shows women to hang around the emotionally unavailable men . This man had been a jerk throughout the serials, except for 1 or 2 episodes.
