If there is a call for heat when you power up a Carrier/Payne/Bryant the blower usually kicks on for 90seconds then heat sequence begins

I just replaced the circuit board on my 30 year old carrier to light code.Then a week later replaced mercury thermostat with heat only digital which display don’t work.Didn’t & haven’t tried fresh new batteries as the instructions stated.Also received that 33 code.The self test worked fine.

the thermostat is probably set to heat pump, sometimes you have to set them up for the proper equipment.

@@Keepitoriginalministry no. a heat pump uses the ac compressor along with a reversing valve and the system fan to provide heat using the air conditioning system.

Usually conventional is default. I doubt the installers went out of their way to screw that up

Heat pump runs off a reversing valve that goes to heat and cooling mode to a fan coil equipment this is a gas furnace with a traditional cooling equipment.

Honeywell Home Wi-Fi 7-Day Programmable Thermostat (RTH6580WF) i usually go with these they are smart thermostats with an old school design. Plus they arent as expensive as the the ones you installed.

Fan runs for 90 seconds any time unit is shut down in heat calling mode. This is standard for aCarrier product.😊

they tested it during inspection .... bull shit the gas service valve was off and the switch on the furnace gas valve was off there is no way they flipped that back off after inspection no way im thinking the thermostat was just setup wrong for the wrong type of heat or something

i would check for power on ignitor plug,if it has power i would move to ignitor for continuity.if no power to ignitor then all roads lead to control board.

Love the videos but I would consider advising the customer on all the defects that were overlooked on the part of the installation. Looks like the installers shoved 3” vent pipe into the 4” furnace exhaust connection. Needs to be 4” throughout. No drip leg, reused existing flex line. Never tested the heat after installation. Seems the thermostat may have been setup incorrectly ( just my opinion) Shortcut after shortcut, this is why the industry gets a bad reputation. Poor install overall. Keep up the good work

Looks like they transitioned from C vent to B vent. The elbow is not properly assembled.

not too sure about the way the vent is connected to the furnace. Looks like it needs a 3 to 4-inch connector rather than a 3-inch pipe shoved inside. Not sure why Carrier even makes that stupid thing like that. Should have been 4 inches from the factory like all the others.

where is capacitor for this unit, I have the same unit. blow motor little bit move and stops

Should be an ECM motor that does not have a capacitor. 9 times out of 10, the blower motor is bad when it does that. Start/Stop
