Enjoyed this trip exploring the largest Fault zone in North America. The Carrizo Plain National Monument was definitely worth the drive this place is very unique. Check this one off the bucket list!

Thanks Lady, which one is it? Sold out or not allowed? What a pain. Glad you were able to flex your plans and still have a nice trip.

Nice one! Awesome drone shots. Sure feels like peace and quiet. How was it at night? I’ve been trying to show my kids the Milky Way for years, even went to low light pollution areas like Black Canyon of the Gunnison and so far, always a miss.

Thank you. It was definitely peaceful. It was a little hazy the hole time I was there but, nonetheless the night skies never disappoint, no light pollution whatsoever. Astrophotography would be pretty cool to learn. It’s like another learning curve to photography. Cheers

Hi Danny! It was good to see you, Ranger and Dusty out on the train again. Bummer about them locking you out of that public area. :-( That seems to be happening more and more here lately. I grew up in the desert around Tuscon, then later, I was living up in the Tonto National Forest area when I first got out of the service. We noticed it back then as well, lots of new fences, new gates, new signs, warning of fines for "trespassing" on our land. Just like the rest of our rights, we have to keep fighting to keep them. I wouldn't let that one go, and you should follow up with her supervisor on why that area was "full up". Almost sounded like a typical millenial, too much work for me right now, nope, sorry, we're full up..... Keep up the great content. Stay safe out there, Danny! 73's M.

Hi Tom, It’s a shame. What I’ve also noticed lately is that they are staking down Wilderness Area signs to keep people out of certain areas. While doing so they have contractors in these same areas destroying acres and acres of land to install solar farms. Thank you, Cheers!
