Can I just give a hat tip to the audio guy for a solid balanced mix and tempering what must be pretty significant room tone issues, with all those flat open walls. (man of audio myself) makes all the difference and really enhances my enjoyment of what is my new 'late night' format show on the tubes. Get more audio people youtubers :)

Audio is so mysterious to us. We are looking for a good moveable solution to battle the echoes. Any ideas? We were thinking rolling flats with acoustic foam, but that is purely a guess.

I have many ideas! :) Your best and most economical solution is probablly framed panels with whats called 'OC703) which is like an insulation material inside, with fabric coverings over the panel. Those provide broadband sound deadening and thats what youll find in studios. They would then be placed on the walls and ceiling, strategically. You dont have to cover everything with them, but this will help tremendously. Another strategy is to use a realtime DSP noise reduction circuit. Some of the higher end Yamaha consoles have a very good one of these, which meauses the room tone of a room and can do a truly amazing job almost eliminating room tone and echo. If yo dont want to buy a nice console, the standard is a 'Cedar' device, which is like the same thing as an external device. They can get expensivre, but theyre good. Im a live TV mixer here in LA, if you want anyy more help hmu, happy to help out.. love your channel :)

Your miking strategy is solid though - SM7s closely miced is probablly your best bet. There are also some techniques that can make an incrimental (but significant) result, like lighetning up the compression on individual mics, using noise gates (carefully) and compressing the dialog bus later in the chain, which reduces the percieved and cumulative noise floor

If you are not feeling the DIY spirit, theres a company called GIK accoustics that sells panels for a reasonable cost, and theyre good. You could mount some on walls ceilings, and maybe put a bunch on castors and place around the room. Bare in mind though that you will have to consider 3 dimensional space for them to be really effective, ceilings, parallel walls, etc are going to be your most effective locations. That, paired with some careful processing, could get that space sounding like the stern show, gaurenteed

Great video, but the correct answer is: - c7 corvette stingray manual convertible as the sports car - yes image issues but get past that and it’s a lightweight analog manual NA v8 RWD sports car, maybe the only modern one there is - r57 mini JCW as the hot hatch - only modern hot hatch that’s the size and weight that hot hatches should be - Jaguar ipace daily driver - when the other two cars are a vette and a mini, go maximum refinement and instant power for the daily. Most underrated EV on the market

…and fwiw, the car that the I-PACE replaced was an older panamera turbo, and even not being an EV fanboy I gotta say the ipace is better in every way. Faster in real life, more refined, better tech, nicer interior and more fun to drive. There are a lot of crap EVs out there but when done right EVs can be good

Everyone is sleeping on the 2004-2012 Bentley Continental models. 20k for a flying Spur or GT with service history and a clean title with under 80k miles. So much car for the money. Literally can park next to any Ferrari or Lamborghini and look like you belong there.

But with that budget I would get a couple cheap cars and then that Nissan pulsar that went for a lot of money I think it was only $25 but for me that's a lot for a car that I will only drive a little
