2002 Mini Cooper S R53 * NO HEAT * | Heater core Replacement | AUTODOC Auto Parts

In this week video we have my own car a 2002 Mini Cooper S R53 with No Heat . I ended up with this Mini cooper about two and a half year ago and very quickly i realised the lack of heating but this winter i was determined to get it working again so here it goes , i show a little bit of testing and replacing the heater core / heater exchanger .
This was my first time buying from ‪@autodocuk‬ and i was very pleased with the Ridex quality and specially the price i will definitelly use Autodoc again in the future, I also would like to thank ‪@autodocuk‬ for supporting us supplying brake discs, pads slider pins all round for the Copart Salvage Seat Ibiza Project .

Nice video ! I have used Autodoc really good prices on ATE and Luk and a host of other well known brands, but delivery is not the quickest which might have something to do with that B word

Cool video mate. I see you took Auto Doc up on there offer? Good job on the heater matrix mate they can be a pain in the but on some motors. BMW/Mini got that sorted.

Wrong Coolant. Needs to be the blue stuff. If not, Heatercore will be stuffed again

No it WONT ! So long as it's not mixed , itle be fine.. I've run universal green in my GULLY BUILT mini for over 4yr now , 0 issues

Mine is the opposite. It gets red hot and if I crack the expansion tank you can here the air pressure in it and its to hot to touch

I'm going through the same troubleshooting process with my own R53 MCS and I just want to clarify what you're saying at 6:45 (ish): The bottom pipe is too hot to touch, and the top pipe should cool down noticeably when the heating is on... so if there is no flow, is the top pipe also too hot to touch? Or would the top pipe be cooler than the lower pipe?

GOTTA admit customer service needs attn, however, they sell all the "quality brand`s" and there`s plenty of choice, also a lot of supplier`s outside the uk are having problems with delivery`s /covid/brexit etc, sometimes you have to make allowances.....🤔🤔🤔
