I think you are absolutely wrong. 1 Disney didn't buy pixar until 2006 toy story came out 10 or 11 years prior. 2 Sid didn't put the toys back together, they put themselves together. 3 When Disney videos are re released from the vault they are not re cut, extras are added under the extra feature, for example there was going to be a funny Rhino in jungle book, it was voiced and story boarded, (looks like a comic, but not animated) so that was on the Jungle Books recent release...other extras are added, usually a Disney short from the same year the movie was originally released... They may also add digital colouring to the original to update the colour. Face it kids today wouldn't watch the muted colours of Robin Hood or Jungle book from the 70's.

The theory didn't say that Disney had bought Pixar yet. Pixar was a direct competitor with Disney at the time of Toy Story so they would have had reason to hate them and their practices. Also Sid actually did splice the toys together himself. he even does so on camera to his little sister's doll. As for your third point I haven't watched any of the new releases so I can't comment. Anyway I agree that this theory is probably not true (as with most theories), but your reasons for it weren't really correct.

Buzz Lightyear of Star Command is technically in the vault now, isn't it? Too bad, too, because I actually looked forward to watching that show every Saturday. Incidentally, the whole vault concept is a heck of a lot older than one might think. For years, it was common for Disney to rerelease older films back into theaters to appeal to newer generations. In this way, films that didn't perform so well financially when they were first released (Bambi and Fantasia, for instance) gained wider appreciation, as well as made a pretty penny for the Mouse House (again, loved that show on Saturdays, where's the DVDs, man?).

CatDog theory: The nuclear accident Catdog are a mutated creature that were infected and fused together by the radiation. This mutation allows the two to stretch and do other things. One of the running jokes on the show is that no one knows how the use the bathroom. Since the radiation has fused them together, the reproductive and waste disposal organs are gone. So when one of them eats, the other head spits out the waste. This is show in the opening credits where Cat is cleaning himself and Dog spits out the hairball. Another point to the theory is Lola (The bird with the Spanish accent). She was the scientist that always invented and studied things. The only thing she studied was the local animal population, especially mammals. She lives near Catdog (The most interesting specimen) to monitor their new lifestyle and survival skills. It has been show in several episodes of people taking interest in CatDog because it is so unusual. Such as the producer wanting Lola to make a documentary, her filming them 24/7 etc. Lola gets close to the animals by wearing a hazmat suit with a yellow gas container. This gives the other animals the ideal that she is a bird. If you look at the city of Nearburg, it is very dirty and rundown, almost if deserted. The streets are covered in trash and the buildings look dirty and a few of them empty or rundowned. In the episode Work Force, CatDog work at a Factory ran by Rancid Rabbit. If you looked at the factory itself, the water is being polluted with runoff with this green sludge. The air is also being polluted. If you watch the opening credits of the episode, you see trash and (I think something radioactive) was throw into this large machine. Rancid Rabbit (the green rabbit guy) is a scavenger. Scavengers basically go into towns and loot what is left behind by evacuees. In the TV show you notice that Rabbit is always trying to make money or hold power over the citizens of Nearburg. He will come up with schemes and utilize the remaining few in his schemes, including The Greasers. He is actually a human but implores the same techniques as Lola but with a green hazmat suit with a radio set (Rabbit ears) It's shown that it's a radio because he sometimes talks to himself and has a hard time hearing sometimes. In a few episode you hear him yell Huh? or What? Randolph (the suave cat with nice hair) is actually one of the few human inhabitants of the town. He wasn't infected by radiation but was severely injured when the accident happened. He was cut in half and was later given a new set of legs and lower torso. If you look at his character, the lower half is a red tiger stripe pattern while the upper half is orange. People would say that it's just pants, but if you look at the border, there is stitches in it. The Greasers are actually a gang that uses the abandoned city as a hideout for illegal activities. But they did not wear radiation suits, leaving them with a few mental disorders and disabilities. Lube is the tallest one and has the big nose and droopiest ears, this could be a telltale sign that his face is starting to melt off. Clifford is the leader and he became infected with multiple tumors and cancers, causing him to be fatter and slower. Shriek was infected in the bones, causing her to grow shorter when she was and adult. The tumors may have infected the brains of all three because this could be the reason on why they're angry and dumb. The reason why the hate CatDog so much is that they're the reason why some of their criminal businesses get shutdown. Or that maybe Catdog was the reason that the whole Nuclear accident happened in the first place. This could explain why they were hit the hardest. The town has been quarantined by a military for study, observation and to prevent the spread of contamination. Lola was hired by the military and independent contractors to study the effects and the environment. That is all I can think of, feel free to add anything else and I look forward to seeing this theory in a video. Believe it or not, I wrote this theory by myself. My theory to why Disney does this whole _back from the vault_ nonsense is to not only maintain and create new hype for old works, but also to keep the rights to their titles.
