I’m reminded of Bob Ross. He takes this large 2 inch brush and makes these wonderfully delicate “Happy Little Trees” and you take, what to most would be, this cumbersome axe and make a “Happy Little Fork” . You are inspiring sir.

Cool, always super great stuff and much of it is like ASMR worthy. I'm betting others have mentioned that as well, I do not mean to be bothersome repeating that I'm just kind of letting them know they are right - my official blessing kind of thing. 😜 Next project can you please carve a whisk. 😉

Carving can be fun and relaxing, but don't do like I did. I just picked it up again after many years of not doing it - and I ended up sitting down for a 3 hour carving session that left me with cramps in my hands from not being used to the carving! Have fun and enjoy!

At the beginning of the video what were you looking for when you were examining the wood? cracks and knots? Enjoyed the video, great job using the "big" knife and hatchet. thanks for your time and have a good day.
@KuskBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I was observing the wood for any knots or checking. I was also looking at the grain of the wood to ensure the grain was properly oriented for the carving. Thanks for watching, take care!

Inspiring! Can I ask how many times you've had to start a carving over? It must take a lot of practice to get that good.
@KuskBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
When I was younger I wrecked a few carvings either by rushing the process or by not being careful enough with my tools. These days I don't find myself making too many mistakes. Thanks so much for watching, take care!
