CASE580C INJECTOR PUMP LEAK REPAIR TUTORIAL, ONE O-RING REPLACED WITHOUT REMOVING THE PUMP

I bought this CASE 580C several years ago now. It's not a backhoe, it's a loader with a huge counter weight. The previous owner was aware that there was a fuel leak on the injector pump and told me about it. He also said that he had a friend of his that is a mechanic by trade and that he said the cost to repair the leak would be several hundred dollars. I let the leak go for awhile then decided to try to fix it. Dale from Tractorstuff (RIP) told me what I needed to attempt a repair and sold me the parts. Very inexpensive. I was blessed that the outside o-ring was the one that needed to be replaced. As you'll see in the video I was not able to replace the inside o-ring because I just didn't want to remove the pump. what's the part number for the O ring? I have the exact same issue on my case 1845

I wonder if you cut down an Allen key you would have the room to get to it.

It might. My leak was toward the outside of the pump. Someday I'll most likely need to replace the inside one. Thanks for the comment.

Great vid! I have same leak when I bought machine. Have had issues keeping the machine running when it warms up after 2-3 min. Did your machine stall or run crappy, due to this leak? As soon as I grab any of the hydraulics, the machine begins to stall. Wondering if this small fuel leak is the culprit?
