Caste pride is just plain wrong. You see, a lot of people fight so hard against castiest evil, freedom fighters denounced such kind of things. How can one be a patriot if what you do promotes the same thing the freedom fighters denounced. I don't understand what is there to be proud of about something which was not your own hardwork but just a mere fluke. It's just a matter of pure chance which no one has pre decided. Rather than showcasing their own hard work and creativity they are promoting something which they have not striven for from their own hard work and sweat. I am so highly surprised about these kiddos that there are real life situation like climate change and inflation, future of jobs.. which are actually going to impact them immediately and it's not so far. But they seem to be worried about their cast branding. Bhai ache Ghar ki ladkiyan Padhai karke top bhi karti hai and Ambedkar ko maante ho toh emulate his degrees & his legal aptitude,murti puja se kuch nahi hoga😂😂. Yeah somewhat agree with that....but you can trace the causal chains of any event ( let alone human interaction) taking place indefinitely backwards to the big bang. We can also get into the whole free will debate regarding this and question whether the concepts of choice/pride/blame/responsibility/individual's will is tenable in the first place. Robert Saplolsky (famous stanford neurobiologist) holds incompatiblist views and thinks it isn't possible. Let's think about this for a second, even if something were the product of your hardwork, the physical manifestation of you as a physical entity doing the hardwork is "deterministically" governed by the natural laws of physics and hence the locus of agency(assuming it's a coherent concept) is still located elsewhere but not the individual body, and hence you can't claim you have willed yourself into doing the hard-work

Because they are dominant numerically and politically, and some among them also achieved to catch influence in the economic aspect. But still, as they are both backward socially and in the "traditional" hierarchy, they always had the spirit to redraw the pyramid for their advantage. Something which happened in many areas. As from Tamil Nadu, it's especially true there from the beginning, I know it's the same in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. In Northern India too, in Punjab for example, it is the case. Even these BBC producers seem to know that there are many dominant communities in India with which you must not mess up. There are many rules to protect sc st, Dalits and adivasi. BJP and RSS knows this and that's why they always want common people to fight or mobs to fight so that video evidence are less. I feel it's more to do with the psychology of a person. Now, when a person has not done anything substantial on his/her own efforts and struggles or really achieved something remarkable by their own terms, they choose such sort of established systems in society to reflect their pseudo achievement. In my practice, I give zero importance to any further sub division(s) within a religion. It's best for aware people to just let such persons be in their bubble because any teachings would be seen as a personal attack, since those morons base their identity on misinterpreted teachings of Hinduism.

I like the way BBC have shown the two sides of the spectrum. But I feel the video fails to connect this issue with India. Hindu alone is not India and Hindus alone don’t have the issue of castes. Every caste and every tribe(including the remotest ones) have steppe ancestry. Brahmins and upper-castes have the highest *proportion of it and lower castes - lower *proportion of it, the other parts being mostly IVC, proto-dravidian,astro-asiatic etc. In reality India has always been a melting pot of various gene-pools. The academic consensus doesn't claim Brahmins as outsiders(no not even the left-wing ones), read David Reich's book "who we are and how we got here" where he discusses the genetics of India in his chapter "the collision that formed India". He painstakingly details at the risk of being misunderstood how every population in india is the result of ANI and ASI intermingling for millennia. The counter to hindutva history is not dalit propaganda history where a historically oppressed group justifies falsehoods in the name of *punching-up.

I scored 98 out of 100 in my 10th maths, GSEB board exam 2018, Toughest paper till date search it and you'll find news. we lack education because of the cost of quality education. Not all can get a first rank if expected from the boys of OBC, SC & ST. There's a field called "sports" where our boys shock the world despite being targeted by the mainstream and printing media where upper caste people have Monopoly... Wealth inequality is the only reason behind our educational degradation and our boys need free quality education more than girls because of cultural reasons that this current Modi government consciously avoids.
