Hector acts under the pretense of mercy that Dracula gave him when he was recruited; for most of the season he genuinely believes that Dracula is executing a humane, merciful, organized culling. Not a bloody genocide. He's just naive and misguided, not particularly malicious or hypocritical.

Hector and Isaac are from Castlevania Curse of Darkness on ps2 and xbox , it really make sense becasue Curse of Darkness is the sequel of Castlevania 3 Dracula's Curse , so that's the arc we are getting in season 3 .

12:08 actually Rick in Catholic religion at least as far as Vatican II, it is okay for catholic people to be cremated as long as their ashes are buried on sacred ground. Not 100% sure what the tradition was back then but at least that is the current state of things.

Back in the late 1400's when this story is set, the Catholic church really didn't have much of a problem with cremation - It was only in the late rational period (18th century) that the cremations started to be associated with rejecting the doctrine of the resurrection of the body. Official bans on cremations by the Church only lasted for a short period through most of the 20th century.

If I grew up with the classics and then started playing Curse of Darkness, I would probably put the game down after a half hour just because it's not the Castlevania that many people know and love.

@@tbcalex The pacing is slow AF, they have filler action scenes and peddle a will they won't they love triangle because our protagonists are couped up in a libary for the majority of the season with shit all interesting to do. Yes its needs trimming. 6 episodes would dramatically improve the pacing and make for a better series.
