I gotta say, I love this version of Soma/Dracula. I love how he says Julius' name and his laugh as he teleports around.

So since I bitched about most of the other bosses let's bitch about big climactic Somacula! _TWO GODDAMN ATTACKS?!_ The reincarnation of Dracula, combined with the souls of Soma's collection, and he's got _TWO ATTACKS IN EACH PHASE?!_ *_WHY?!?!_* Seriously! There is literally so much you could have done with the Somacula concept!! But nope! All we get are two attacks per phase!! Soma 1 has Great Axe Armor, and the Gaibon familiar. Phase two? Abaddon soul, and his jump, which admittedly combines about three or four attacks but it's still basically just one attack in the long run. We've got a character whose literal gimmick is stealing the souls and abilities of his enemies, and we've got _THIS_ for a boss fight with him. Goddamn it, Dawn of Sorrow. This fight should have been amazing. This should have been a showcase of just how fucking dangerous Soma could be. Like how the Julius fight from Aria showed just how goddamn badass and powerful Julius was. Instead, we get this. ARGH. (He's still a better final boss than Menace tho)

They said that julius can't use seals, yet I see the bosses getting sucked into seals. Shouldn't it be a grand cross obliteration instead? And what that timely death of Gergoth while firing it's laser, NICE! Makes it more like a dramatic finish.

I thought julius doesn't know how to use magic seals yet we still see it. Shouldn't he use the grand cross instead? He merely obliterates the bosses before they can regenerate.

My guess it’s Yoko using them, as she taught Soma how to use them.

I recommend you use the Grand Cross when fighting Dmitrii, plus he can only hurt you when you get too close, make sure you only use the Vampire Killer to hit him

Julius Mode in Dawn of Sorrow doesn't have Hard Mode (un)fortunately.

He's not, but here's the thing, here, he's old. He's said it multiple times that he's not in his prime anymore. In fact, he's over 40 years old here. We never got the game where he fought Dracula properly, so we don't know how strong he truly was.

Julius is the strongest since he was able to actually *kill* Dracula. The strongest Belmont prior to Julius was Richter.

Not to mention that he got nerfed in this game due to Alucard and Yoko being playable as well.

Julius is canonically the strongest Belmont. Not only did he kill Dracula for good, but even past his prime he is able to kill the new breed of respawning demon bosses with so much speed and strength that they don't get the chance to regenerate and therefore he doesn't need a seal (not me explaining game mechanics skipping his seals, that's in game dialogue). Even in this non-canon timeline, though he has help, he is STILL capable of putting down a reincarnated Dracula.
