CAT goes WILD for DAVY!

7 weeks ago, my partner of almost 15 years suffered a life altering brain aneurysm and we are facing a very long road to recovery. One night, about 6 weeks ago, it was the early hours of the morning and unable to sleep through worry and dispair, I found myself falling down a rabbit hole on KZbin, in an attempt to loose myself for a while. Which lead me to Anna and Phillips wonderful channel 'How to renovate a chateau...' which then luckily lead me to the wonders of Lalande and all the amazing, kind, charasmatic, talented people that have resided there over the course of the Chateau Diaries. This channel, Stephanie and all the others (Dan very much reminds me of my partner, similar in age and the same humour and mannerisms too which brings me joy in dark times) involved have been such a welcome and needed form of escapism for myself during the most horrific time I could have ever imagined, and I can honestly say I don't know how I would have coped without your wonderful videos. For the last six weeks, any of my spare time has been spent watching the videos right from the start and each and every one of you will never ever know how much you help so many people all around the world find a place of peace for the time your on our screens. Thank you for sharing the chateau with us. ❤️

Lilacs ad wisteria are my favorite flowers- and I love Kat. So happy watching this. Now I shall go off and make an apple, avocado and cucumber salad with apple cider, lemon, fennel and chives. Perfect!

Have you planted Alchemilla Mollis ? Lady's mantle in common tongue. I once found myself standing on a mountainside in Alsace where nothing else grew, it was gorgeous, a sort of greenish yellow flower and self seeds everywhere. Plant one and the year after you have ten. My mothers paths and garden is full of it and I have three different sorts in my courtyard along with the lovely Heuchera with it's dark reddish leaves and pink flowers, two of my favorite plants.
