Young men, listen to this man. Real men and masculinity is becoming a threat to society, in some people's eyes, and I don't know why. I'm 47 and grateful to have grown up with men of this character.
@TheNymanator14 күн бұрын
Young men, don't listen to this person I'm responding to. "Real men" and "masculinity" aren't becoming a threat to society, and you are not a part of the problem if you don't believe in the narrative that people like them spin. However, you should absolutely listen to the guy in the video, and take what lessons you find useful in being as good a person as you can to yourself and others.

@TheNymanator you can have your opinion but unfortunately in my liberal state of NY, people feel like men are too aggressive or intimidating if you have old school values and mannerisms. If u don't deal with that, then great for you.
@alannurse745314 күн бұрын
@TheNymanator and if u don't think the "masculine" man is being looked down on, then I disagree. Look at the election. I don't want to get political but some news blamed the "manosphere" for the Harris loss. Really?
@DryCreekWranglerSchool14 күн бұрын
You are arguing with the original poster unnecessarily. He has a slight typo in his comment, but if you read the entire comment, he’s not disagreeing with masculinity. He’s saying that society is looking down on masculinity as a threat, and he doesn’t know why. You guys are on the same side.

Hi Dwayne, I very much doubt you'll read this but it's important to me. I'm 23 years old and have been raised with internet. Through those couple of years I've struggled with many things (like we all do) like alcohol, relationships and my ability to do the right thing. A lot of so-called "coaches" or whatever people on the internet say a lot of things to sell their courses or subscription to their charisma seminar and they often times pretend to possess THE right answer. I've listened to your videos religiously for 1 year now. And its of the very rare ones that genuinely helped me find balance. Thank you very much Dwayne. Sincerely, Sincerely.

Perfect timing Thank you Dewayne I doubt you’ll ever see this but I just wanna say thank you for being the father figure I need. I have a dad who’s a great dad but I’m going through the hardest time in my entire life and your videos have been immensely helpful beings that my grandpa stover is gone who was a horseman before he died all he did was sit outside our house and pet the neighbors horses that were in the field by our house. I never got to spend enough time with him with the right mindset for me to wanna pick his brain and now I wish I would’ve but thankful for GOD raising up men like yourself. Who haven’t misconstrued Jesus’s message into a passivism cult Sickness, back injury, changing employment after 6 1/2 years GOD got ahold of me about 2 years ago and the last year he turned my entire world upside down and I’m praying everyday all day without ceasing for GOD to please help me. Anyways I just wanted to say I know that GOD is raising up real men to guide men who still love TRUTH and THE TRUTH

The first horse I catch is myself become calm and let that start to spread . If we are tense and frustrated in front of our family they will get spooked and be harder to help them . Let the wind and the rain calm for a second and in that moment deploy a umbrella next block the wind and in that calm pocket draw in the others . It's nice in here come rest not by force but by compassion . Thanks Dwayne

Good advice, thanks Dewayne. I was a schoolteacher for many years - everything from junior high to grad school. It was challenging sometimes (JHS especially🙉) to “catch the herd” at the beginning of the year, but by getting to know and understand where individuals in the class were coming from, it always improved. Empathy and calmness, not threats and power trips were what worked for me. It was just as you described in your example - once you establish a good relationship with key individuals in the “herd,” others start to respond and cooperate. I had to do that with six different “herds” a day for many years and that approach saved my sanity and the students - believe it or not - for the most part, enjoyed coming to class. I’ve heard this expressed another way, that there is no such thing as having a relationship with a “group” or a “family.” There is only a series of individual relationships - some work better than others and the only way to solve problems is one at a time, in those individual relationships. Some are best to be avoided as much as possible, others are worthwhile to cultivate. Thanks again for your perspective.

I starting watching your videos about 2 years ago because I wanted to listen to your wisdom and mock it. I had a great dad, about your age and my prejudice told me you couldn’t say anything wiser than that of a boy because you wanted to have something to say which opposed my fathers life method of teaching through actions. Bit of a run on but maybe you get the point. Truth is my dad cant hardly write. I only learned that when he wrote me a letter while I was deployed. You said yourself quite wisely in another video about truth and understanding based on background. Well id say you embody truth for the western world and I genuinely appreciate what you do just flapping your gums. Your great at it and it shines some light for those who want wisdom in this media over reading and perhaps one leads to another i do not know.

My grand dad was much like DeWayne…I was lucky. And I remember telling one of my uncles that I wanted to be like my granddad. His response was quick and direct, “You will fail” I think I was in my late twenties. I was instantly discouraged. But since he had spent his entire life with my granddad, he knew why I would fail. He continued, and explained that my desire to be my granddad was exactly the opposite of what my granddad had hoped I would do. He wanted me to follow the example he followed…that of Jesus Christ.

4 years ago I bought 4 yearling Percherons, 3 fillies and a colt, from off the range in Alberta. They arrived here wild and woolly after a 3 day trailer ride, no halters, never been handled. I had to somehow get them haltered, broke to lead, handle their feet... Turned them out in a 5 acre paddock and began a 3 month process to join-up and it took 2 months and 3 weeks to get the first halter on, then within a week I had all 4 haltered leading, eating out of my hand, and playing with their feet. Training in harness was a breeze. I guess they figured I was ok, and they also realised I was the guy with the key to the oat bin..and they needed to get on the right side of history here! lol Once they know you are on their side they just accept you as their leader with the plan. I have never had any luck with people, lost pretty much everything getting hooked up with a woman in my 40's, that ended when her interest vanished and have no desire to be in a relationship again. Horses are honest...big difference between women and horses. No secrets.

It's funny you mentioned catching herd as a whole or go for 1. I had to catch & load some cow's a bit ago for a bangs vac, it was a nightmare because i just needed 4. Yesterday i sold 2 steers & planned for another nightmare, but brought the herds (goat & cow's) down & then separated down to the 2 i needed. Went smoother, since we we're trying for just 2. I wish my husband watched you, course he'd read more into it then what's there. We've never worked in tandem, except for when the kid's tried to play one against the other (dad said yes, when it was no or vica versa) the only one who get's finances under control or tightens their belt is me (my belt). It's hard, well that's not even the word for it.

In order to begin to understand, you must ask yourself: 'Why do I act the way I act?' 'Why do I act in a way that harms me?' At your young age, it is likely that this is something you learned from one or both of your parents regarding relationships and interactions between spouses. You must understand that you are not your father, and you are not your mother; you are a unique person, and there is no one else like you. Simply put, just because your mother is a tomato and your father is a pineapple does not mean that you are either a pineapple or a tomato or a combination of both. The same applies to your partner. If we say you are looking to open a certain lock, in order to narrow down the search for the right key, you will first check what type of lock it is and only then look for a suitable key. The same applies to yourself and your search for a partner. Once you understand who you really are-without all the faulty customs that were instilled in you during your childhood-only then can you truly start looking for a suitable partner. And once you do, you will see that your intended partner, the one God chose for you, has been there all along, waiting for you. So don't delay.
