It’s weird because I’ve had something similar happen to me and my safety razor. TSA made me take out the blade and week later I went home. When I was unpacking I found an extra blade in an extra in a small pocket in my toiletries bag. I completely forgot about it but somehow got home with no issues(both carryon bags) I believe it’s so thin they normally can’t detect it unless it’s in its original “device”

One of the worst places to commit a crime. Airports are one of the most secure, & most patrolled places anywhere. Don’t even pocket a wallet if you find it lying around in an airport, they have cameras everywhere.
