Hi. I'm not a professional baker, just someone who likes to eat butter cake so I always bake it. In order to get fluffier butter cake, add in whipping cream! As for the problem mentioned in the video, I used to have it but not any more. I think it is something to do with your oven temperature.

卡油 I have this problem too last time . So I lower the temperature to 150 degrees. It cake out real good soft and moist. No cracks on top and the top is level. I use cake flour 低筋面粉

Hi, check with u, I have done what you thought but then my cake is hard and dry. I even lower my oven temp and good news is not wet sign at the bottom of the cake but it is dry and hard. I wonder if it is my oven issue cos I went to read up that conventional oven is best suit to bake but mine is convention oven, my butter cake fail many times.

Mine also convention oven, the cake will abit dry but won't hard.. Have you test the actual temperature of oven? Or the hard part you mean is surface or inside also?

The hard part is the outside especially bottom and top and inside is very dry, I lower the temperature to 160 and baking time is shorten, still dry, not sure why

@@Guanting-b7g maybe the actual temperature is still high... Like my oven, i set 150℃, but when i use thermometer to check the actual temperature, it is already 220℃... So i need to lower to 130℃ to bake the cake, the baking time same... You try to recheck your oven actual temperature... Hope these will help you☺️

@@HaosKitchen morning my friend, thank u so much for your prompt reply! 🙏 I actually went to buy a external thermometer to measure and when I turn oven to 200, the thermometer show 160 😝 so will it still be wrong? I wanted to give up baking cos I fail almost 6x. Read thru a lot abt convention oven and I also don’t use the fan function. The last one I did is no longer wet but is dry and TOP still brown and hard. I am thinking I should cover the TOP and bottom with aluminium foil half way after 20mins, should I?

@@Guanting-b7g you can try cover it this will help to reduce the brown on top... Bake with fan open, baking time cannot be longer than 60mins, coz more longer more blow-dryer. Without fan, only can consider use lower temperature and longer baking time. Have you wait until next day or at least 8 hours to enjoy the cake? Butter cake normally with become moisture and soft the next day(回油 oil turning back)☺️ Pls done give up keep trying, one day you could become Butter cake master💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

I saw another butter cake baking video it said at least minimum mix with butter and sugar for 15 minutes ,but here said 10 mins only?

Normally I beat 10 minutes is enough. Beat 15 minutes also not a problem, just to make sure the batter won't melt, bcs long time beating will raise the temperature of batter too☺️
