There's a New York cop who's now a captain he delivered a baby years ago in Brooklyn and he told the lady in the car he's a lady I don't know nothing about delivering no babies? And he did do the job years later he's at a roll call he's not captain and there's this one guy he looked at he's a patrolman Johnson stand for and the guy thought the patrolman thought he did something wrong and he walked up to him in front of everybody in the room standing formation and looked at it and the patrolman got nervous he said do I know you sir he said you should everybody was in on it except him I delivered you and everybody broke out laughing and slapping them on the back and the guy thought he had done something wrong. Wasn't a a dry eye in the breathing room the captain was assigned to another unit across town but we hadn't heard that the guy he delivered as a baby he had to go over there and take a look at it see what kind of outstanding young man he had become I think they ran out of tissues in that briefing room.

I mean no disrespect or am trying to undermine your opinion, but that isnt great in the long run. You see, i used to believe this but i believe impartial, unbiased news would be better for the world. Feel good stories belong in the news, but so does graphic, warts and all stories. That would be so thought provoking, and bring us all together as humanity. Imagine a graphic, unbiased documentary that motivates humanity to collectively adress it? We would be even more advanced, the feel good stories do serve their purpose too. They motivate humanity to maintain, and enforce morals. Sadly however, the news mostly uses graphic and shocking events to make money(advertisements, running time, pushing agendas for political groups, deception). Such a shame that these resources and pain are abused, used in vain and are pushing us back as humans. Like i said, no disrespect but i feel like we need raw unbiased content to move foward as humans

This is beautiful. I am a nurse & 40+ years ago I had a 2y/o girl for my patient, in the small town ICU where I worked. She had been badly burned. The baby girl was in our unit for months as we treated her burns. She called all of the nurses Mama, because she did not have a loving mother. I never forgot this child. Four years ago I met a young woman working at a local convenience store. I saw burn scar patterns on her arms and scalp that were the same as that 2 y/o girl. It was that baby. I introduced myself and asked about her life. She said that she had a good life, husband and children. I was so happy to see her.

Cause it goes against their agenda when it turns out the majority of cops aren't racist, yes maybe it was in the past...but so was the general public. Do you know the tall (British) policemens helmets that they used to wear, well the story was if a pregnant woman needed to pee she could ask a policeman for his helmet to pee in. If not consciously then subconsciously. As in he may not have directly thought “I wanna be a cop bc a cop delivered me as a baby” rather he just had grown up with such an overwhelmingly good perspective on police work and civic duty which certainly influenced his decision in becoming an officer.

Those are always the best stories. I recently chatted with someone on Facebook, about a year ago. I was on duty one morning and took her to the hospital. When she said it, I remember that day. I remembered we were looking for where she was located. My ambulance was in the back parking lot, where we helped her, before taking her to the hospital. I can picture that day. Life has a way of reminding you of precious moments in life. 25 years of EMS, never thought about looking for those I helped. But they never forget you! Always do good for others.

And I am not talking just about the 27 years between the child being born and him meeting the officer who delivered him. This video was first shown 4 years ago. And I am just now, 31 years after it happened, being touched by it. And there are others who have watched it and have also been touched by it.
