Happy Birthday, Robert Redford. Thank you for sharing your many talents with us and making this world a better place. One of my favorite actors. I have enjoyed every one of your films, especially those with Paul Newman. He brings his individual touch of class to everything he does. I love how he has maintained his individuality and not got caught up in the cliche ruined, over indulgent lifestyle of Hollywood. Wishing you every happiness and great success in all your future endeavors. Thank you. ☀️

He is a big deal. I still occasionally dream about him! I've been to Sundance & hiked to below Timpanogas. There had been avalanches that winter so it was changed below. The mt never changes. A very beautiful place & at a writer's conference. Bern to Park City a few times. I have some beautiful art that I found at a few galleries. I respect him so much for his contributions to film & the environment & ZHE HAS GREAT HAIR! 😄

Mr. Redford's presence in cinema has been era defining. I'm grateful for his catalogue of films (of note: his independent films) and I admire him for having given back so generously to an industry that embraced him. He is truly an American icon.

The most handsome man on Hollywood screen back in the days. Didn't know he bought a large piece of pristine land, then destroyed it by turning it into a ski resort.
@oarsteed3 ай бұрын
It wasn't "pristine" and he didn't "destroy" it--at least not most of it. All of that land had been used extensively for grazing. From his initial 2-acre house lot, RR bought 6,000 more acres (as noted in the video). A small part of that land was used for a ski resort; almost all of it was left untouched, save for hiking trails. In December 2020, to reduce his heavy responsibilities for land management (and certainly to make a lot of money), RR sold 2,600 acres, which include 1,845 acres preserved through a conservation easement and protective covenants.
