So cool! I can’t see so being able to go on one of those tours and touch the different parts would have been a dream come true. I would’ve been sorely tempted to press the stop button or make a snide comment about ValRavN though.

Pleasure Beach Experience same. Dispatching a train sounds fun. I haven’t ridden it yet but a lot of the US enthusiasts give it crap for the layout color scheme and restraints.

Great video! The tour is more in depth than I figured it might be and looks like it'd be great fun for any enthusiast. Something interesting about Magnum is it had its controls and all of its braking redone a few years back so they're no longer the original Arrow panels in the booth - in fact I believe it was Consign that redid it and they are the ones that do all of B&M's control systems so it's probably very similar to what you saw - maybe a few less buttons because there's no floor comb. The touch screen is probably less interesting too because there's no sensors to know when the individual restraints are locked/unlocked. I think the transfer controls are still the same as they always were though. Transfers on Magnum are a bit different because there are no drive tires to roll the trains backwards (uphill in the case of Magnum or any old Arrow). To transfer a third train on, you park one train in the safety brakes outside the third tunnel and one on the lift and then switch into transfer mode. At that point, someone goes out to the transfer table, releases the transfer track and moves it over into position and re-locks it. Then they unchain the train at the back and kick down the little wheel chocks in the front of the train. The chains/chocks are a precaution in case there is ever a loss of air pressure in the braking system. At that point, they release the train into the station. Then they unlock the transfer track, move it back into running position, re-lock it, and switch the ride back to normal (auto?) mode. Transferring off is similar. Just park the one you need to transfer off (first empty train) in the safety brakes outside of the third tunnel, the next one on the lift, and the last in the station. Switch to transfer mode, unlock and move the transfer track, lock it, release the safety brakes so the train comes around and parks on the transfer track, chain the train, put up the wheel chocks, unlock the transfer table, move it back to running position, and then they switch back to auto mode. Transferring a second train off if you need to run with one is a bit of an effort and involves winching a train backwards onto the level section of track behind the normal transfer track. When I worked on the ride, we pretty much never ran with one, and we'd have to have the maintenance team do this winching procedure. I imagine it's still the same, but I don't know for sure. I think sometimes if the forecast is calling for a lot of rain these days, they'll keep one winched back and plan to run one or two for the day, but not three. I totally agree with you on the Magnum lift walks. I used to work the ride and have done dozens of them, but it was before the days where I had a good camera so I took very few pictures. I'd pay good money for the opportunity to do it again. I've thought of working a couple weekends at the park just for the chance to do another lift walk. :) It's 288 stairs if I remember. A good workout!

Imagine mounting that Valravn train in your living room. Corkscrew doesn't take up much space and it's very close to Power Tower. They'd have to move the tower to replace the Arrow with a Gerst I expect, if its numbers drop too far.

Simply The Bex Simply The Bex I will definitely take a look at some point 😀 Good editing takes time so I think it’s a good thing your edit was a long edit, it shows attention to detail. My America videos from last June were all edited once I’d got home meaning some of them were on two weeks after they’d been filmed. Generally speaking though I like to have vlogs on 2 days after they were filmed. Thank you so much for your support 😀

I considered the tour last year but couldn't book it as a single person. A question...since y'all already had paid for Fast Lane Plus, the vouchers received are extraneous...so are they transferable? i.e. can you surprise the crap outta someone in the queue by handing it over and wishing them a good ride?
