Cowboy Carter is amazing. It reminds me of the days when all kinds of music would be played on radio stations. On any given day, you would hear R&B/ Rock and Roll and Country music played each hour. I think because of that many of us have a better appreciation of all kinds of music. We were not limited like folks are today. The music gets you moving and calms you at other times. Love it!!

Hugely impactful figures with an undeniable allure/mystique about them. For all the people that don’t think Beyoncé is a big deal, they would be there opening night to see a biopic about her in order to learn the process of how certain albums were made, why certain career decisions were made, how she ended up with Jay Z, etc. That is always a gauge in determining an artist’s impact. If they made a biopic about them 10 years ago, today, or 10 years from now, would it get high viewership during each of its releases.

Blacks NEED TO LEARN THEIR DAMN HISTORY! LESLEY RIDDLE, Deford Bailey, Ray Charles, Rufus Payne, LaMelle Prince, Linda Martell, Charley Prids are all black pioneers of country music. The drums, guitar, & banjo are all African instruments: that you can not play country music without. The motivation for why something is done is everything. The heart behind the ART is the energy emanating from it. Is this album about getting an award?? We dont ever demand awards, and say we should of won..not them!! That is school yard bullying. Music is an art form, it should come from being creative and expressing that energy.
@thinkingoutloud33586 ай бұрын
Great point but this is more than just about an award🥇 she was treated like crap at the country award show while performing her country song😅 many people who do great things say motivation is being told they can’t. Why should turning the nay saying into a great slaying be a bad thing?
@greentree7306 ай бұрын
@@thinkingoutloud3358 did it occur to anyone that all their whining about her not getting album of the year, may have affected how she is treated?? Jay z said on stage at the Grammy's that some people did not deserve to be in categories. Beyonce's father got involved how how album of the year is picked? That all rippled through the music crowd a short time ago. Taylor has won four in mostly country, suddenly Beyonce has a country album?? But now she isn't welcomed with open arms?? Hmmm wonder why? My Beehives will take it to number 1 without one country person buying the album. And guess what? You will have a harder time refusing me the Album of the year award next year."

You need to add Taylor Swift to that list. Her style of confessional writing and bringing her personal life and lore into her music combined with her “easter eggs” and fan connection is very influential to other musicians. Not to mention the way she has changed the music industry in multiple ways, starting the conversation about owning your masters just for example. She has broken so many records. Her second album, Fearless, came out in 2008, 15 years ago, and is STILL the most awarded country album of ALL TIME
