Just received my Wrath 430 from Midwayusa today. First ever crossbow. The video was well done and way easier to see what the printed instructions were saying. The instructions are well done but the video made it goof proof. Thanks! Look out turkeys!

As a piece of advice to all new owners: put blue loctite on basically all the screws in assembly and flip the quiver plate so the latch is not scratching the limbs.

I’d like to add an initial step. Seems pretty common sense but be sure to check the bolt rail on top prior to assembly. For some odd reason Centerpoint packages these so that the edges of the foot stirrup dig into the aluminum rail 🤦🏼‍♂️

I just bought the 430x and the user's manual for that one says you have to discharge it to decock. So don't load it unless you can fire it safely - your is probably the same.

There are lots confusion on where to install the cable slide. This instruction video is contradictory to the instruction manual. Amazon pictures show the slide on right but CenterPoint website showing left. I measured the thickness of the Grove bottom to the slide top touching rail, they were 0.165" and 0.14". So the cable grove close to the wider opening side is shallow, therefore the cable slide should be on the left side of the bow and cable crossing should be on the right side. The instruction manual is correct

at 39 seconds you snap the cable slide onto the right side of the riser, strings crossing left of the cable slide. This is opposite of the instruction manuals for the 430 (PG 3) and 430X (PG 2). Which is correct? String cross on the right or left side of the cable slide?

I think the picture in the owners manual shows the front assemble laying upside down and that's why it looks like the left side, but in reality, it's really the right side. Hope this helps?

with 460 grains, mine is putting out 409 FPS- so, he's 22 FPS off which isn't far away as far as I'm concerned. But you're right- they shouldn't advertise this at 430 FPS.

Nice bow, but dishonest advertising. This bow will never reach the claimed 430fps with the provided 400gn bolts. Market your products honestly. Every single review of this crossbow proves its a 410ish fps bow at best.

The point is to advertise honestly. Will a dead deer know that? Of course not, it would not even know if it was killed by a hammer. Will a live deer know that? Probably not too. But when you miss, you know that😊

This guy doesn't know how to read instructions it clearly stated in the manual to place cable slide on so that right side cables cross. It doesn't say place cable slide on right side

I noticed that too, but I think the instructions perhaps need to be improved. If you look at the placement of these sliders on other xbows, he is doing it right.

What detail, you cannot see what he is doing, or how he is assembling the components. The video is unclear as to how the parts marry to one another. No detailed closeup shots of assembly process. He seems to be assuming you have done this before. I have not and I evaluate this video as mediocre to poor. In addition I have a silent crank device for my crossbow. It appears this device goes into the rail and it is not shown on the video. Now I have to disassemble my bow to install the cranking device. This video goes from mediocre to poor as far as I am concerned.

I brought my drawstring back that cocks the crossbow to cabellas where I purchased it earlier today after receiving massive bruising on the tip of my dick and also my waist and even the sales rep could see the defect on why it broke. I have tons of pictures of the bodily damage and will be contacting a lawyer over the next week and if further pain continues I will be going into the hospital to make a report along with not being able to work right now. I own a construction business and I can't even wear pants because it rubs against the massive bruising on my dick. Sorry to be so straight forward but I think everyone needs to know before buying this product to be careful
