That is a beautiful plumbing job! Was nervous clicking a video that had central vac and DIY in the title, but this is how these should be installed!

Nice Nova! Learned to drive in a 1970. Are you happy with the Beam? If it's lived up to your challenges (including a shop), it can survive anything (I'm considering something similar? Finally, have you seen any cyclone-type systems that might be even better?

Jeff, the central vac is really sweet. I like that you routed that to the house as well. Excellent video.

Hi Craig. That thing has been a real time saver here for sure! It even comes in handy when done with a drilling or grinding job for a quick clean up so the dog don't end up with things poking in her feet. She is hypnotized when items on the floor disappear - like where did that go, kinda neat to observe! ;>)

The vac is a nice set up i hope to do one in my next shop as well I do. Plan on utilizing a Cyclone style seperator like i use on my Dust collection system for my Woodworking shop that actually separates the majority of the dust in its own container. Instead. Of it going into the vacumn and its Collection container that usually keeps the system working better and prolongs the motors life a great deal plus they are relatively inexpensive to buy or build As well as lasting a long time

Hi Jeff, having a bit of difficulty finding similar micro switches as I don’t know what specs I should be looking for? I have a Central Vac here in Australia (220-240v 50hz), however all the micro switches I see online have such varying specs: 30A 125v or near me a 5A @125VAC / 2.5A @250VAC. Any chance you could advise me on what I should be looking for please? Thanks

Not a bad guess, actually I bet that could be used for one now that you mentioned it! But - I'll give everyone a hint. It is from a VW car.

Washer bottle tank?
@2jeffs18 жыл бұрын
Yes it is! From a 73 Super Beetle. They were pressurized with compressed air and are thick walled.They were hooked to the spare tire and there was a regulator in the system to keep it from totally draining the air out of the spare tire.

It took me awhile, a bit of thinking and then I started looking on ebay. That would be a good setup for a cheap water/methanol injection setup.

+William Zoom Haha Vw guy here. I took a crappy video the other evening for a friend regarding my old setup on my 79 rabbit , using any mk1/2 Vw washer bottle and an old carb jet(I used an aircraft pitot tube). Engines can ingest a surprising amount of water !! now you are making me contemplate posting it.
