Meaning u end the play and complete access to each other… and they will realize that they need to play a certain way in order to see each other… if u don’t separate completely, they will play again when u walk away with even more intensity than before… but yea, what he said made zero sense… I’m just letting u know cuz I’ve lost a puppy by not doing this… my bigger dog was running and the puppy jumped in front… worse day of my life

Back when we still had our chihuahua, we never once worried about our bigger dogs hurting her, SHE was the one who would hurt THEM. They never really fought back against her because they understood she was small and couldn't handle the same kind of play the bigger dogs could handle, but that didn't stop her from giving it back to them like she was a Rottweiler or something. Worst thing that ever happened was one of our bigger dogs would swat her with his paw and push her to the ground. But she'd get right back up, madder than ever, and chase him out of the house and into the backyard. Small dogs don't fuck around.

Same I have 2 big boxers and a little chiweenie. He’s the oldest out of them and he definitely loves to get in the play fights, they are super gentle with him and don’t leave him alone because they are worried he will get eaten alive by some other animal 🤣

Wow...not enough information. I just bought a 8 month old German Shepherd and introduced her to my 3 yr old Shih Tzu/Terrior mix and both want to play hard. The Shih Tzu is a hard bitter and this is seeming to cause the Shepherd to paw at him constantly. The Shepherd has very high energy. I think previous owner kept her in a crate all day, every day. I know it will take time...just hope they don't kill each other. You really need to put on a better video.....

I have a Yorkie and and Australian Cattle dog. They are together supervised, but not really allowed to "play". It's not that I think my Cattle dog WOULD bite her in half, it's that he COULD bite her in half. And that is a risk that I am not willing to take.

Hello, YES better be careful with doing this. I saw a big dog (boy) playing with a small dog lovely (girl) they are very nice playing but the big dog in his playing Modus was jumping on her back, so this lovely girl "" "can't walk anymore!!!!!! Because, in the Playing this was happened. That is a very sad story I was so sad too, to see that poor little dog in that situation!!!!!!!!! Greetings

My 4# chihuahua and my dads 80# bulldog live together peacefully. I wish I could post pictures. People always comment when we are out walking together, at first I didn’t understand what the big deal was, they are both my dogs. Also my sister has 2 55# bulldogs so at Christmas’s time there is a total of 200# of bull dog running around and my tiny chi, after 6 yrs I’m too the point where I don’t worry about her with the dogs, I’m more making sure the humans take care where they put their feet! I have a little sling that I keep her in at time to be sure she is safe from people moving about.

My pack is three Black Russian Terriers and six Yorkies. While I am at home they all are together. When I am not, they are separated in three groups, so they can rest too. No prblems. They have a real life including jogging in forests, obedience, shows etc. -but no wrapping :)

My parents adopted a GSD and we have three dachshunds and she doesn’t mean to but when she tries to pay she hurts them. Also the oldest dachshund is very territorial and they have gotten into fights before. I wish I knew how to bring them together so that we didn’t have to keep them apart all the time.

Hello Mr. Millan, this is the Point to stop the Play at the right time!! Some kind of breed 's are playing very raw and crude. For a small dog is that not often a playing with enjoyment. I saw many times what could be happen for small dog' s if the Owners doesn't stop the Play at the right time!!!!! Because, soooo many dog's doesn't care what their Owner's say!!!!!!!! Unfortunately!!!!!!!!! The people's are not YOU with your Knowledge. Some of them doesn't know Dog's Behaviour or Body Lenguage but most must have the Biggest Dog's. Caesar I had a female mastiff who grew up with a older Pomeranian almost teacup sized when the mastiff was a baby, she slept in the bed with us, but she got older and got very big and my wife wanted her out of the bed and so I did that well he seems like from being separated. I don’t know if overtime that caused her to turn on the Pomeranian, but they were really close before before she wound up killing her along with a pitbull that we had at the massive us to play with. Can you provide some expert clarity on what was the psychological of the mastiff to do that?

Hi Cesar.. I have a 5 months old mongrel a mix breed dog.. He is very aggressive towards my younger daughter.. I can't leave them alone at home and she gets bitten almost everyday.. Whenever he see her he turns out to be very violent.. He is not dominant but aggressive as he bites it is a bit deeper and causes blood patches arnd.. I really would need help from you..

I hope you helped that dog find a better home. It's wonderful to help rescue/adopt a dog, but not at the cost of your children. If she was getting bit almost everyday then you should have helped him find a better home. He obviously wasn't happy with the arrangement either.

I have a 12 week old female boxer that I’ve had for 2 weeks. I also have a 7 month old male boxer that I’ve had since 6 weeks. Problem is they want to play but after 5/10 mins around each other the 12 week old gets mad at him and gets crazy and we have to separate them. Js S i obviously dont know the situation but to me it seems you overreact. If you would let it continue the older dog is gonna get fed up and put it in its place. After which the little one will stop. My grandma had a 12 year old mutt ( had some fox terrier and some labrador in it as far as we can tell) my mothers 5 months old staffy overstepped his boundaries. The older dog gave it a big scare by gently but firmly biting him in the neck, as if to say i could kill you right here boy. The staffy had been a real gentleman after that lol. My grandma was ready to step in and start shouting and panicking but my mum let it go, with a great result. That beinv said you can tell the little staffy is sizing the old dog up wondering if he could take him now but he doesnt try. I think thats a more breed specific issue ( that my mum has plenty of experience with btw)

Hi, Just one question, maybe 2, i have 2 rescues, 1 médium male, portuguese podengo, 3 years, Hugo, and a small girl 5 years old, Binky, yorkshire terrier. She bites him and he's scared of her. Why? She was with us for 2 years when we adopted him, was still a puppy, she's very territorial of us, Food, everything and always mean to him. He's sweet, lets her take his food, bite him without even running away from her, i'm the one that normally protects him from her. Don't understand why. I have another one small 18 months, chocolate bobi, ( she's the mom and he's the dad, she got pregnant 2 weeks before getting fixed, because of the size i thought was impossible, my mistake) she's mean but not as much, they play a lot, nothing compared to what she does with Hugo. What should i do? I'm afraid that one day Hugo will get tiered. Thanks

Binge watch Dog Whisperer Season 1. You'll quickly see that almost all problems like this are due to the person not being an authority figure, setting boundaries, being the leader the dogs respect. Related to that: you also see that people tend to ignore various little things they could exercise control over because those little things don't bother them. But, it's those little things (adding up) that make the big things harder to address. People let their dogs get away with a lot, and then "I just want this one thing fixed." I think people expect a "how to" solution, like teaching a dog to sit. Something mechanical. "Just do this." But, it's more holistic than that. You have to immerse yourself in Cesar's philosophy and live it in everything. You have to think about things differently, not just do one thing different.

Helloooo, my American Staffordshire Terrier "LADY" couldn't let her play with Chihuahua's, Teckel, Malteser, Havaneser, Yorky's etc or other small Doggie's. She was lovely, kind, friendly but playing""" OMG 😅 so wild, raff, taff mucho fuerte con so mas Temperamento, uffff. But she have had friends, small Breed's a lot in the Neighborhood. But I doesn't leave her without leash playing with this small Doggie's. We walked together sitting in Park together but playing with her, better not. For playing she loved it with the same Breed or Labrador's, Retriever's, Dalmatiner, Husky's, Mischlinge, Rottweiler Mix etc etc 😂👍Many Greetings. i have an alaskan malamute and a whoodle, the alaskan malamute doesnt really like the whoodle he always growls at him and attempts to bite him, my parents sometimes let them outside in the backyard together and my alaskan malamute bites and chases him around aggressively, everybody is saying its normal but i just dont want my puppy to get hurt because my alaskan malamute is 6x bigger than my whoodle
