American speaking here. It seems like Winnipeg always has the most hype atmosphere in the CFL. It's like they're the Kansas City Chiefs of the CFL. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah the team and their fans have always gone all in on atmosphere. Even when they have not exactly been the best they still act and trash talk like they are. I mean it was from an interview with a Winnipeg player that the term "Banjo Bowl" was born...

I am an old man and I say what I say..lol This game had more than most people think. I knew going in it would be a close game. WPG perenial powers vs BC still trying to get the groove. Forget about the game. and the final score. BC could have scored another TD but instead VA2 took a knee to run out the clock. One word...RESPECT!

Bombers...what the hell! Good game anyways you guys. I live in northern minnesota so my two teams are the Vikings since 1976 (sigh) and the Bombers since 1988. The Bombers give me a lot less stress. Go Blue.

Getting going, for the Bombers is like starting an unplugged diesel in - 30 , in Manitoba. But they did perform better than the first two games. Defence??? I did notice that Collaros has no time to throw and Adams had lots of time to throw, they gotta fix that.

Since I only saw the highlights, can some enlighten me on why the first half ended with :01 seemingly left on the clock? Did the Bombers mismanage the clock or something? They were in chip shot field goal range -- and only lost by 2.

Absolutely it breaks down like this, before the play the refs asked the timekeeper to reset the clock from 4 seconds to 5. Then when the plaay was snapped the clock didn't start for like 2 seconds AFTER the ball was snapped. So when the play was over and the clock read :01 it should have been at zeros. Luckily it was a potential scoring play and all scoring (or even potential scoring plays) are automatically reviewed by the command centre so they realized the clock SHOULD have been at zeros BEFORE the play was over and called it half time and everyone went to the locker room while the clock still read :01. In answer to your second question yes, Winnipeg ALSO mismanaged the clock, instead of going for a field goal with 5 seconds left they chose to try a passing play (because it was only 2nd down), the QB, however took too much time trying to escape pressure and find an open man, so was out of time when the incomplete pass was thrown so they couldn't even try for a field goal then. Also also to address your question about only losing the game by 2 points, that is deceptive because with about 55 seconds left BC had the ball on the Winnipeg 1 (at 1st down) and could have easily punched it in for a TD with two tries OR kicked an easy field goal. Instead they took a knee three times, so while Winnipeg TECHNICALLY only lost by 2 points, that missed chance at a field goal at the end of the first half wasn't the deciding factor, since BC decided to conserve their players health and not run up the score when they had a chance to do so. (Which imho was a true class act, since playoff position can be easily decided by points against your opponent, it is in fact the first tie breaker in the CFL.)

Winnipeg was much better but still no TDs for Collaros, still no 300 yard game for Collaros, and still 0-3. The falloff is here, Winnipeg is NOT winning the west this year

I have an unbiased opinion and from what I have seen Winnipeg could have easily won this game. Since it's only 3 weeks in I wouldn't count them out. Look at Edmonton forcing game 7 in the NHL finals, nobody thought that would happen but there they are with a chance to win it down 3 games.

Starting 0-3 isn't that great. Of course there're BC Lions who won Grey Cup in 2011 despite staring 0-5, but that's very rare. You can't lose much. Winnipeg might miss playoffs.

Nice win by BC! The TSN crew doing this game were horrendous with the Pro Winnipeg game call🤢. Just call the game it was so obvious that they wanted the Blue Bombers to win this game it was very distracting and kind of bush league

They have been treating BC like a red headed step child for decades, now with no end in sight. When the 2002 version of the panel was around (RIP Schultzee) All four of them admitted they had an eastern bias and were fans of eastern teams. They even went so far as to say it coloured their reporting a bit and it was something they actively looked to limit as much as possible. And, honestly as far as I am concerned Winnepeg spent enough years in the east to be an eastern team the way this current itteration treats them.

I didn't hear much bias towards Blue Bombers. Yeah, a bit of bias was there as the game was in Winnipeg, but that was not that horrendous. I don't think that announcers wanted Blue Bombers to win, they just expected a close game and they got it.

Glen Suiter was fair in his call of this game. The play by play guy was extremely excited every time the Bombers made any kind of play and very muted when BC made a play? On one play the Bomber punter Shanked it off the side of his foot and he described it as a booming punt lol 😂? Had to mute the sound and listen on the radio
