At first I thought "They both didn't need to go" but then I realised both were too stubborn to let go of their half, so they agreed to go on the journey together, although reluctantly, through time they got to know each other better and the blonde guy felt betrayed when he saw his friend gave up his part because he was drunk. The other guy felt guilty and went after his friend helping him when he was down, they then continued their search and found that at the end there was no treasure but in fact their prize was each other and the friendship they had forged through disagreement, reluctantcy, forgiveness, and adventure.

Most animations I've watched have either been quick little contained stories or sad dramas but this was so good. Even though the story was about an overall adventure it still showed the character progression of each as well as well as creating a general story for anyone to fill in the blanks.(favorite part was the ultimate bro five)
