These deeds serves as evidence for alignment with the people. Pretty rhetoric is fine and all but without actions that materially help people they're just empty words. In recent years many communist led organizations have started growing in communities. From the conversations I've had in poor black and brown neighborhoods where orgs are active the word "communist" is a now a very positive word. There is also a very simple factor contributing to our despondency. Societal interests have been castigated for monetary gains by a handful of corporation elites. Politicians don't speak for the voters anymore. They act on behalf of the interests of those that put them in office through campaign contributions. Unfortunately most voters seem either unwilling or resigned to this system. That's why most the the younger generation don't vote and are mostly hopelessly detached. What to do?
