This is a good one, we start wallpapering the main floor guest room, we make a great find for the dining room, and then play a guessing game, guess how much that cost?. Then we experience a windstorm and its consequences. Finally I respond to a much discussed comment on last week's video.

I have a temporary fix for keeping the chateau warmer. We had single pane windows in our old house. As you know it can get super windy in Troutdale, Oregon with the wind coming up the gorge. The window insulation plastic comes with double stick tape. It is easy to apply and shrinks to fit perfectly with a blow dryer. It removes easily. It cut our heating bill a ton and kept our house warmer for the boys when they were little. I used it in several rooms at the retirement community were my Dad lived when there was a power outage for several days three years ago. It was definitely a life saver. The wallpaper is so lovely. There are kits available with really large sheets that can be cut to size.

I guessed 75 Euros for the beautiful china cabinet because I assumed it was a real buy, but 95 Euros is a terrific bargain. It is a beautiful piece. Leslie's decorating skills are tremendous. I love the new wallpaper. Every project is interesting and fingers crossed for the hydro situation.

The wallpaper and your new cabinet are beautiful! I love your tolerance for people of all religions. I have cancer, and your religious talks help me a lot. I live on a tiny island in eastern Maine, and most of the churches are closing up, and being sold to summer people for private homes. The ones that remain open have lots of political signs and banners, and are only welcoming to people who believe the way they do. It makes me so sad, so I love that you recognize that everyone is human, and has their own beliefs. That they are not evil because their beliefs may be different. Kindness and understanding are the only way to get people to come together. It is my belief that God wants us to work together to create a better world, rather than dividing us.

Wow, Leslie! You are a Pro! That wallpaper is perfect with your three-tone woodwork (including the interior window frames). It is hard sometimes to pick paint colors, when the way light plays across a room during the day changes how it looks. I love the birds, and agree that the view out the windows should not be overshadowed by crazy bright walls. That china cabinet is wonderful for 95 euro! I loved glass-front storage. Nothing like having to dust 400 pieces of china over and over. Now it will stay clean. It's the perfect place to display your "G" china. I love it! It's been windy here too, but that moaning is crazy! Glad you took a break for Easter. While I'm not religious, I appreciate the good values you pass on, as well as your kindness and optimism. I think you made the right call, and handle everything with tact and consideration for others. You are great people. :)

I am Romanian, born and baptized in christian orthodox church, and in my country religion is still very powerful. However, i do not resonate with christianity at all, in fact i am against it, although i love god very much. But, i do appreciate that even if you value chirstianity highly, you are not forceful about it in your videos. I also tend to go with the vibe of the vlogger and yours feels really grounded, warm and calm, which i love very much. I do enjoy your videos, the heart you put into renovating the chateau, the fact that you create a wonderful experience for young people who come to stay, and i also love the chateau itself. In a nutshell, this vlog is a beautiful visual and soulful journey which makes me come and watch it again and again.

It is the episode called Finishing the bedroom and I thought that it might come in useful for you two. I have never hung wallpaper so learnt something new from it. Good luck. Fantastic price on the vitrine (my first guess was 100 euros, but it was so nice I upped it to 250 euros, should have stuck with my first guess)! Goes so well with the room and the decorative elements. A slight word of caution on glass shelves, I keep hearing how often people have lost their beautiful china because the glass shelves have a tendency to come off their holders. Yours looks like a nice quality piece, so you may never have that problem, but that porcelain you have is so beautiful (I'm a huge fan of French porcelain, and have a bit of a collection myself), so in the event in the event it's helpful, might want to periodically check on them. How beautifully that wallpaper works in that room. I think you have a point that the colour of the ceiling doesn't seem as perfect as it should be with that paper. Hope the electrical meter works out well! Looks like you have a beautiful sequoia tree, among other wonderful conifers, and more. Glad you're on it with the processionary caterpillars, it is something that pays to be proactive on in so many ways. Wishing you a happy easter.

I would put in led battery operated lights at the top inside the cabinet so it can be lit up at night...beautiful piece!! I use to work for a company in USA that would offer replacement curved glass for windows, cabinets, etc...the price for the replacement glass was affordable but sending in the measurements and me having to put in an order for replacement was a task from those sent in measurements!! And prayed to God it was correct!! GOD BLESS you both! Happy Easter!

I guessed 100 euros. I would call it a curio cabinet. I don’t call myself a Christian but we believe that all religions have a golden thread of truth in them, and in this world there is enough room for all beliefs. I will pray for you and that you find a solution to the electrical problem. One question though, when you first moved to your chateau were the electrical bills always so much? Or, have they gone up since then? Also why would the electrical panel in your stable go to the neighbors house? I worry that you are paying for their electricity too! Also, Leslie is such a talented designer. The wallpaper is beautiful and the room is going to be gorgeous! Finally, I am also praying that you get new double glazed windows in all of your chateau!
