I think I am missing the box resizing gene!! I am in awe of your ability to envision what you have to do to change one size box into another size that better fits your item to be shipped. You do such an amazing job packing breakables. I wish our Amazon distribution centre would hire you to teach the pickers how to ship. We had 3 shipments of liquid laundry soap returned even before it arrived at our door, because the boxes broke open.

I love your videos! Please don't ever stop making them. I have a question. I sold 8 dishes to the same person. The listing was for a set of two and the buyer bought 4 sets. Ebay upped the shipping weight, but there was no increase for the size of the box needed to ship 8 dishes instead of just two. Am I missing something??? This has happened to me before.

Since we have to enter the dimensions for the shipping label, ebay isn't going to make any adjustment from what we estimated when listing. The "dimensional weight" is something that I think that ebay and Pirate Ship etc. haven't figured out how to adjust/calculate the "dimensional weight" for us. It still is up to us. You still could have shipped them separately if the cost to combine was more than what you collected. But, no, ebay doesn't adjust box sizes after purchase. We do that when we buy the label. I've also used the added "corners" to reinforce them, but I also put a little glue on the one side, so they adhere to the inside corner of the box. I think it adds to the strength/integrity of the reinforcement (imo).

Just curious as to why you use masking tape rather than shipping tape?

Masking tape is cheaper than packing tape. So, I have two dispensers. One for masking tape and one for packing/shipping tape. Also, I think the masking tape makes it easier for the buyer to see where to open the package. I have links below every video in the description box. Thanks for asking Elaine!
