17:43 Ah, that explains a lot. Practicing the modal expansion method in soloing, and taking a look at Miles Davis solos is very, very valuable advice that may go over people's heads. If I didn't know how, or have difficulty entering jazz, I might start there.

Thanks Chad. I would love it if you could do a lesson on how to play the melody of a tune the way the greats like Coleman Hawkins or Bird do. I always admire how they embellish the melody but are always able to return to it, and how their embellishments always sound organic like they belong to the orginal melody.

Love working on this PDF package, its working wonders already, I'm on piano and guitar, just the listening alone does amazing things with familiarising the vocabulary but although its challenging I love getting theses phrases down piece by piece. Isolating the phrases by chord parts is even fun!

Hey Chadwick, your content blesses me so much, I'm a huge fan!!! I am a bassist from Nigeria... One of the things that puzzles me alot about Jazz music is knowing where to start and how to progress, what next to do, in other words a progressive and concise way of learning jazz music. I would love it if you could do a video on this subject one of these days... like how to go about jazz, from beginner to advanced level, what to study what to practice and how to progress... thank you so much man. Dave from nigeria.

Chad - can you get into doing Sonny Rollins' Alfie theme. And I think you should quickly meet up with the guy too. He's in his 90s now and last of the few. 🎷👍

This is excellent, man. Thank you! Could you do something on the improvisations of trumpeter Clifford Brown? Quincy Jones said that Brownie used math in his approach.

Voice leading in the jazz context: "melody notes that connect or disconnect chords." So, they're basically legos.
