Came across this fabulous KZbin video today. Thank you! My only other comment, based on attending an Osteoporosis Clinic (UAB Birmingham) is the reminder to never round your back, but to keep it slightly arched during the exercises. Your demonstration utilizes this technique, but a verbal reminder would be excellent for those of us struggling.

Thank you for doing this video. At 81, diagnosed with Osteopenia, lost 1 1/2 inches, T12 fracture and T6&7 issues, this is the perfect video to rebuild muscle and stability that I have lost due to not walking or working out. Taking a chemo pill causes unsteadiness as well. This is the perfect start to rebuild strength, which I need. I will wear my brace so as to make sure I do not round out my back, until I get the hang of this. Looking forward to starting this today. Thank you for also including other videos. I have osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and autoimmune hashimoto disease. Just found you a few weeks ago. Loved this routine and would love to see more for all of the above. Going to try your trapezius workout too. I have a tight trigger point there. Thanks

8:47 thanks so much for this video. I found out I had osteoporosis when I was 59 . I had partial hysterectomy when I was 28 and then ovaries when I was 35. No HRT since. Now I have 4th stage osteoporosis and have taken Prolia injections every 6 months for 2 years. I really love your slow and exacting exercises. They are hard to find!!

GREAT VIDEO. I copied and pasted to my yahoo email to be able to do this every day. I already responded 3 hours ago after discovering it, and I have made a commitment to do this every day. I tend to not stick with things after a week or so, but because after doing this (I could not do the lunges) I can see how weak I truly am. Once I can do the lunges, I will move on to your other videos. As you indicated this does not look as challenging as it truly is. I am truly grateful to you. Namaste

@@YogawithJoelle No need to reply, I just want to say you are inspiring, so much so, that I held on to chair and desk and did mini lunges and more standing from sitting during the time the video was demonstrating the true lunges, figuring, whatever I did would get me to full lunges sooner doing a modified version rather than nothing. I've sent this video link to a friend and to a Biofield Tuning Practitioner who may have older clients like me, who are cute 🙂 hahaha, but lacking strength due to aging and complications. Yay...others will benefit too. Yay you! I was thinking of getting a compact stair stepper for seniors. Cheers to you

That was great. Can you show us something to replace the lunges if we have some knee issues? I’m so happy i found this channel.

Hello Canada! Great question. If lunges don't feel good on the knee, try standing up tall and pulling one knee at a time as high as possible towards the chest while squeezing the glutes and keeping the spine straight. That way you're still working your balance and strengthening the hip flexors, but without putting weight on the knee. I'm so glad you liked the practice, well done!! 🌟

I have osteoporosis with two compression fractures in my spine, and therefore have to be careful about my yoga practice. I have done this practice several times and found it very beneficial. Could you do a video that is not with a chair but good for osteoporosis? Thank you in advance!🙏
