Lionel Sanders quote: “Of what meaning would it be if it didn’t take everything.....take your entire being....you’re entire life’s work....” What person, filled with passion for what they do, could say words that top that quote? This is exactly why I follow LS. He’s honest to the core. We go into the depths of hell with him vicariously. We ride the crests with him, and this is a wonderful crest. Best race I’ve seen him do since his 2nd at Kona. So humble, so hard working, so real.

Mighty respect for an inspiring performance. Nice production value adding the bee sounds when you were talking about the incident. One small motivational idea from me. If you ever feel like all the work is enough and you don‘t want to complete a session (probably a very rare occasion) look at the split camera view of you and Jan running about 2:30 to 2:31 into the race. I am not a body language reader but he definitely looked like he had one other gear if he needed one. Kind of insane.

I think you made a large improvement over the last months and are getting way closer. Considering you are no short distance guy your performance, your speed is really impressive. What a time to be a triathlete, with Jan, you, Sebi and the others like T.O. , Gustav, Gomez, Brownlee, and so many more. PS: Jan and Sebi both said in a german interview they would love to drink beer with you. Probably after the career stress but whatever. I think they not only respect you - they like you with your attitude. That's one more reason i love this sport
