Struggle is pointless, but Gelfling is welcome to try if it helps pass time.

200 IQ moment there: 1 Chamberlain literally drank his GF in front of his eyes laughting in his face 2 blatantly admitted to planning on killing Gelflings for immortality 3 Gave a reasonable justification for the draining 4 Only to then totally overshadow that reasoning by an even simpler and more better reasoning of peace as he knew the civil war would only destroy the Gelfling, 5 Then he turns Rians sense of honor against himself to literally follow him willingly without chains and resistance... If only he could see that rescure coming... But than again Chamberlain was already too late, by the time he had Rian in the carriage he the flames of insurgency were already lit and Generals idea of genociding Gelfling instead was already in motion. Chamberlain had a really good plan, drain regularily and in small doses, make it a rite, a tradition, Invent a justification that "The Crystal is sick, and only a regular sacrifice of Gelflings would bring it to balance... eventually".

Chamberlain: Finally, you took my ring, my little precious gollum took a ring in the first place, aren't you? New kid: Chamberlain. But, it is not about time! Chamberlain: Well, then, before the perfect timing is.... For Revenge! 0:09 - 1:37

For being just a society of stupid selfish voltures , the skeks are absolutly tremendous wood/bone- carving artists . Just look at the design of the carriage ...everything in their society could just work anyway but they decide to carve it in a almost organic way .

... You really think those were made by Skeksis hands and design? ... I'd say it were Gelfling work demanded by Skeksis.

Skeksis represents capitalism
@t3llur1de15 күн бұрын
The Skeksis actually embody the Seven Deadly Sins -- as Jim Henson explained in the production documentary for the original movie back in 1982. Such beings would accumulate wealth dishonestly, and exploit others. Capitalism is basically the accumulation of money and possessions. We all do that. Obviously, we're not all Skeksis. Global elitists like George Soros, Bill Gates, dynasties like the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, and trans-humanists who seek to cheat death through unethical science are the closest approximation we humans have to the Skeksis. Henson wasn't making a social commentary when he made The Dark Crystal. He was telling a story that tried to bridge the dichotomy between good and evil beings -- by showing them as two halves of a lost whole. Obviously a different emphasis.
