I completely identified with him. I see myself so worried over stupid stuff while the real stuff is right in front of me. He is just focus on one thing that he doesn't perceive the situation around it. Maybe it is a reach, but I see him as a real goal-oriented person (or maybe I'm just seeing this because I'm that way). Same way as in the club. He gets so hyped like "I gotta dance, I gotta get drunk" that he forgets that the whole point was to spend time with Vanessa. She gets mad at him at the end because they didn't spend time together while, in his head, he was just doing what he was supposed to do. I get this time it comes to a ridiculous point where the audience is just screaming at him to let it go and seize the moment for once. It is a really cool and sweet scene. Usnavi is great, but he is not the brighest cookie when it comes to flirting. I love how he is completely oblivious in this scene!
