I too experienced the shutdown for no obvious reason after about 10-15 minutes. I had walked away and when I came back the generator wasn't running. It started right back up but I immediately suspected the low oil shut off had kicked in. It did not seem that they had supplied enough oil in the container that shipped with it. I added a little extra oil but I had lying around and it ran just fine after that.

Hey Will! Thanks so much for watching and providing some feedback! Glad to hear I'm not the only one that experienced the low oil shutoff issue, but different from your experience I had enough oil supplied out of the box, just had to add the rest of it. Mine has been running great since then as well.

I find as a automotive technician that running synthetic oil tends to make the valves noisy. That also depends on if the engine is made for that? It's a good idea to let a air cooled generator idle at least 5 minutes after pulling a load, so it can cool down.

As long as the oil viscosity is correct it should have nothing to do with valve noise or engine design.

Where did you get that electric cable adapter ? I believe is a L14-30r

⛔️ WARNING ⚠️ Test With the Dip Stick fully ‘UNSCREWED’ ! DO NOT Screw it in then unscrew it and look at the dipstick to test the level. Just stick it in, pull it out, look at it and add accordingly! If it’s full then, and only then do you screw it in ! ⛔️

What was the freq. in HZ at max load?

If you watch close between the times of 9:00 and 9:05 you will see me cycle through the parameters on the watt meter I was using and you will see it was right at 60.0 Hz.
