You can also do this on a pro controller too just pair it to your computer and do the same steps as the joy-cons additionally with` changing how the grips looks as well.

Whenever i connect my joycon to my PC through my bluetooth dongle it lets me control things but wont show up as a connected device and the joycon toolkit wont work cuz nothing is recognized i guess. any idea what i can do?

As far as I know this is made with only official joycon and pro controllers in mind. You’re welcome to try it with other controllers but if something goes wrong that’s on you 😬

By any chance could this work on third party joycons? Like binbok, iine and nyxi which are pretty much the same, just chinese, japanese and... european? Idk where nyxi is form but anyway that's far from my original point xd

I'm wondering as well. I plan on taking knock off pro controllers from AliExpress, reshelling and replacing their buttons. I'll give an update if it works. I'll try within the next few months
