Thought I’d share some additional ones that helped me! Small cost now > big cost later If you’re worried about being a bad person, you likely aren’t Piece of fruit before work or a task. You’re body will love you for it One easy task, and then the Hardest tasks first! It’ll feel like riding a bike downhill instead of up, and since you already got an easy task done, it’s like giving your bike a kick to get it rolling. My personal favorite: Whenever you’re worried, remember your mind is saying “what IF something goes wrong” it’s an IF, a scenario, it isn’t guaranteed to happen! - If you’re still worried, imagine it happening, and you handling it excellently. We can’t control what happens, but we can control how we respond!

Our behaviours are usually a reflection of our identity. What you do is an indication of the type of person you believe that are-either consciously or unconsciously. True behaviour change is identity change. You might start a habit because of motivation, but the only reason you’ll stick with one is that it becomes part of your identity. Anyone can convince themselves to visit the gym or eat healthy once or twice, but if you don’t shift the belief behind the behaviour, then it is hard to stick with long-term changes. Improvements are only temporary until they become part of who you are. This type of thinking really changed the way I viewed my goals and progress. The goal is not to make some money, the goal is to become a businessman The goal is not to win the match, the goal is to become a fighter The goal is not to get a girlfriend, the goal is to be in a healthy relationship. In our lives, we need to develop a system that we follow every day instead of focusing on set goals. Goals are good for some time but in the long run, they can result in dissatisfaction and regret.

a habit i have no clue how started that maybe someone reading this would want to try that i have is every night, before i go to bed i thank the universe/god/whatever you want for everything good from that day no matter how small, whether it’s i had a really nice lunch or got a lot of hw done or cleaned my room etc. and then i also acknowledge the things i would’ve liked to go better whether it’s not getting a great score on a test or having an argument with someone etc, and then i just say “but that’s okay i can...” and then what i can do to maybe make it better. and then just a quick saying of what i hope for the next day eg, hanging out with a particular person or a test going well or just generally to have a good day. idk it only takes a minute or so and it really puts everything into perspective of how nice your life really is even if you don’t realise it:)

I've cut Facebook out completely. It took a global pandemic for me to realize a lot of my friends care about things that don't matter and care more about not going 5 minutes without attention than keeping themselves and people around them safe. Some just became completely different people because of other factors, and I just don't have time for it.

This video was the only one where 'Life changing' didn't imply setting unrealistic tasks ahead and the only thing beside you is the generic "Motivation" guru. It is important to recognise that importance of your tasks is distributed exponentially, which means that even if you only take on the more efficient 20% of your tasks, then the Pareto principle would still apply to those 20% as well. And after all, you never really know which tasks are relevant to success, because no one knows what it takes to succeed until you actually succeed

for some reason exercise makes me more stressed. it is not only painful (except swimming bc there is little gravity) but the fact that I have to do it consistently is extremely overwhelming. I get back from school and am so tired I just want to sleep but I have to exercise and I just can't. I feel like my life is just a neverending loop of stress and guilt. the only exersise I don't hate with a passion is swimming, but I have to actually drive to the pool to do so. I have tried everything and swimming is the only exercise I can tolerate.
